For future EVA projects I highly suggest a blade sharpener! Honestly it is wicked worth it to invest in a whetstone and leather strop, for sharpening and blade aligning, but a basic kitchen knife sharpener (like the kind you pull the edge of the knife through a coarse, then fine sharpening sections!) work wonders as well!! EVA foam will absolutely eat the edges of your blade, but having a sharpener/leather strop aligner on hand will extend their life and save your sanity quite a bit!!!

I just saw your comment about the whetting stone before adding my two cents. I do that, too, and blades last a very long time.

Using a baking sheet or waxed paper between the two glued surfaces as you're trying to align the pieces up perfectly, gradually pulling the paper out as you align them, definitely helps me.

I like the artwork on the endplate, and think that would make a really cool 'wrought iron' sculpture out of whatever you can think to make it out of and it still look like wrought iron. Maybe even a cool collection with different colored crystals at the center...

I use a sharpening stone to resharpen my Xacto knife blades. The foam dulls your blade quickly but a single blade, sharpened frequently, lasts a very long time. You'll save money on blades.

Or large or complicated pieces like your detail work Odin makes showed. You can put a piece of paper between the pieces and slotted along till you're ready. Push them down

8 months lats to this but please don't just put in a new blade all the time, get a good knife sharpener and save the money, one bladecan last you months before it needs to be replaced, and try to sharpen after each cut, whenever the knife leaves the foam, sharpen it
