Sample based producers have longer longevity in the business because they're always inspired as opposed to producers who take pride in producing beats from scratch and all their productions sound the same. Music is about evolution, innovation and creativity all of which involves taking things that already exist combining them to create something new.

yeah, I agree with you about the patterns. because we producers always make the same beats. we copy too much and don't evolve. By that I mean that most beats sound the same these days. In my opinion, producing beats is important but in a creative way. I think we shouldn't just make beats for profit.
