This is Jungle music, an early form of Drum n Bass. The recent revival of the Breakcore genre has people calling anything with a chopped up Amen Break "Breakcore".

Yeah… 🥀, but you are shooting yourself in the foot tho if you don’t put “breakcore” in the title

@@synthdos if you are intrested in someone else's video on the subject, i recommend checking this out kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYmseZiwjq5qkNksi=fZMwd8GTEifoD243 It goes quite indepth, but its a very well made video interviewing artists active in the scene

Artists Femtanyl come to mind when I think of breakcore. Your creation is a bit closer to Sewerslvt which is calmer mixed with ambient. Breakcore is very chaotic and borderlines noise or glitch. Edit: After looking at the breakcore Wiki page, I might be mixing up breakcore with hardcore. It also could be that the genre meaning has changed over the years

This is more Jungle then breakcore, but it still sounds amazing! If you ever try again, a few key notes are Bpm tends to be between 180 - 240 The breaks are well… broken, and quite a lot. There’s a lot of unique patterns, and pitch bending on the breaks. If you’re gonna make a complex break, make a simple chord progression, and vice versa. That’s about it with breakcore! It’s a very basic yet somehow complex genre considering it’s mostly just a really fast, and unique breakbeat over some chords.

also originally the term breakcore comes from "breakbeat + hardcore (techno)" which meant that many breakcore artists use hardcore or gabba kicks. This is what mainly differentiates it from jungle / dnb in my opinion - the technical breaks are juxtaposed by silly, over-the-top distorted kicks.
