I made my first eleni (spelt wrong) dish but I had to use fish fillets in a can due to no deliverers of mackerel to the supermarket in months. Simple and delicious which I was able to make with homemade bread once yeast was available at the supermarket. On another occasion my mother asked to make it with corn beef however I prefer the fish fillets.
