Congratulations on hitting 20,000 subscribers! I just recently found your channel and have been enjoying the videos! We are a family farm located in central Iowa and we share life on KZbin as well! I am a 13 year old girl and I run our KZbin channel! We farm but we homestead as well! We have a Guernsey milk cow who should be having a calf in March sometime then we will have fresh milk again! We make butter with some of our cream as well! I enjoyed the video and am looking forward to more!

Remember making jersey butter as a kid. 2 cows and five kids using the milk. Lots of butter and homemade ice cream. Easiest way to skim the cream was using a turkey baster. Did the jar method until grandpa dug out his old electric churn rig. Dad modified the shaft to fit a gallon jar. We made several pounds a week. I don't miss those early morning milkings but fresh raw milk and butter is a treat.

You’ve taken me back to my childhood again. I had uncles on both sides of the family that milked Jersey cows and there was nothing better than fresh butter from them. My maternal grandmother made sure we knew how to make butter in a gallon glass jar. She put a little wooden agitator ball that helped out with the pounding. Little secrets lost to history 🐄.

I'm trying to get my Lady to move away from Oklahoma with me. But we both have ties here. I want to marry her with the mountain mist about her shoulders. She is a Very good woman and a great friend. Maybe one day she will say YES.
