To assign layers in Lightburn, simply just select the area or line that you want and then at the bottom of the page select the color. The color is the establishes the layer.

Great video! Just thinking, the painted ones look nice but also look like a lot of work, you could use your engraving part as a template and cut out similar colored parts and use as a template to paint. Like for the Santa you could cut out the beard and part of his hat that is white and just paint using the cutout for a template!

Question.. On the ornaments that you cut out parts (like the candy cane )... What if you put the ornament In a jig and etch the front and then flip it over in the jig and flip the image as well in lightburn and etched just the flipped picture of the candy cane on the back.. If you get the position correct, you'll end up with a double sided ornament instead of a single sided one.. What do you think? Maybe you do this already? Or maybe it's too much trouble? Just a thought I wanted to share.. Merry Christmas!
@PawPawsWorkShop Жыл бұрын
Yes you can do that. Just take you time to set it up carefully.

Yes I have it set to line. I have a fox alien laser are there specific settings that I need to do in light burn to speed the process up. I noticed a lot of your project are pretty quick. Mine take several hours. I have looked over it for hours trying to figure it out so I was just wondering if there are settings that I need to change to speed things up. Thanks a lot

Nicely done, looks like lightburn has had several enhancements since I last saw it. Lots more drawing tools. Will it save SVG/PNG files to transfer to CNC too? These would look great carved with 20° bit giving fine highlight details, as I don't have a laser ... Yet . .. Santa Fox 🎅🦊.. Is it too late to ask?
