Like myself, I never had a original idea of mhy own, just perfect what someone else has done.. Watched you for most of your shows and have thought of doing my own, but who can perfect a job well done. I just turned 79, promised my wife I would spend more time on ebay and try to get away from scraping. going into smelting, maybe won't injure myself so much:-)

Were was this video 3 days ago? I started using my clay graphite crucible and had trouble lifting it in and out of my furnace. I will be copying these lifter tongs, very good instruction video 👍👍👍

Just weld a piece down the center of the handles to form a T. A quarter inch piece of round stock should work just fine and save a tone of weight.

you may want to consider goin ahead and making them from thicker steel as when you add in pounds of metal those could bend mid pour
