When it comes to white you have to mix it more just shaking it a few times is not going to work and I know this because I make all my own custom acrylics and glitters and I've been doing this since 96 so I hope this helps a little "Lizzy" I would love to see you do a set with the baby blue and you did a great job luv so thanks for sharing and showing much love always 💅💕💕💕

Thank you so much, I can only imagine the work it goes into making your own acrylics. I think that’s why I rarely do it. Especially since I have no clue what I am doing 😅. This is just how I’ve done it and works for me. I appreciate your advice, I am going to try the other tools to blend a little better. TFW ❤

I mix my own acrylics and I use the white to make my colors more bright, vibrant, and opaque. And I don't use chalk either, I use mica powder and or pigment powders. I only use a tiny little bit of the white so it don't effect the color, lighten the color. So i will use like a spoon full of white, two or three spoons of clear and the little spoons of mica powder. If that makes sense. I dont use just white ever. Unless i want like a pastel color, then i will use more white, but still clear too. And also I use a pestel and mortar, it's to blend and smush (as I call it lol) the pigment and colors together, it keeps you from getting those little spots of pigment in your powders. It helps it mix together, blend together better. Before I started using that I would get those little spots, I dunno what they are called. Also you can put it into a zip lock bag and take your fingers and smush the pigment/mica powder with the acrylic powder. (I seen that on young nails for mixing custom acrylics to smush the pigment together) And I only mix a tiny bit of mica or pigment at a time with the acrylic powder. Also by mixing in a little bit of white it will make the mica powder matte. It will still look shimmery in the containers but once you swatch it, apply it. it's matte. I mix my mica powders to make differnt different colors, like mix a purple and a pink to get a pinky purple color, magenta color. Or mix several different colors to get nudes, diffent greens and blues...... my point is you can mix them and get "custom colors" I've came up with some beautiful colors. And I also mix micro glitters in with mine that turns out really pretty too. That's just how I do it, I'm not saying you're doing it "wrong" or that I'm doing it "right" I don't think there's a right or wrong way to do it. I'm just telling ya how I do it so maybe if you wanna take some of my ways and mix with yours to help, or you may not even need or want any help. I'm just rambling lol. Yours turned out pretty. 9:25 is it chalk or pastels that's used? Pastels I believe is a compressed form of powder. I could be wrong.

From what I read, they appear to be chalk for drawing, 🤷‍♀️ but that’s me getting description from the products I looked into purchasing. I can’t be sure either 😅🫶
