There's kind of a design improvement in her model from ep7 to ep8 which is really cool to see since Cynessa is kind of a "different" character in the series and they did such a good job with her animation/ect. Love the process

The juiciest part is that sculpt = Smoother vertices (In Edit Mode, it can be decimated for less lag without ruining the Object that is the Sculpt). High quality Blender models... my favorite tutorial.

Very cool! I'm saving this video for future reference, since there are quite a few modeling techniques that I'm unfamiliar with that I'd like to learn, and you seem very good at what you do. The following are thoughts I had while watching. A lot of these are about the anatomy/accuracy, and that's largely because I have been obsessing over this show as long as it's existed so I've absorbed a lot of potentially-niche details: 2:23 Something to note is that Cyn doesn't have distinct eyeballs, her "eyes" are a single screen behind both eye sockets, hence why it's so recessed. There's most of a Worker Drone head in there, hence why the eyes and teeth look the way they do. 14:10 Worker Drone fingers have ball joints between each segment. The fingers themselves (thumb excluded) also don't change width until they round off at the ends. Likewise, the wrists are ball-joints, and the neck and limbs are each a uniform length. 19:46 The music choices in general are pretty good, but the way you made it match how totally off-track you went in your modeling process got a laugh out of me. Good shit. Since you went through the effort of adding new little things tying around her wrists and arms, I'm surprised you didn't include the detail that the long bits of hair at the front are tied off at the end, just before they start getting wider.

@@syweb2 Hello ! Thanks for the feedback, highly appreciate it ! There are many reasons why the details you pointed at here are different than the official version ; 1- This is a work-in-progress, which means some of the details like the Hair being tied off at the end are being fixed/added in the second part of this Timelapse (on which I'm currently working) 2- You are totally right about the eyes analysis, I actually made them "flat spheres" for animation reasons, animating the eyes as rotating spheres is, in my opinion, easier than having to move the pupils manually on a non-flat surface, which can cause a lot of clipping. 3- I did take some freedom, changing a few things like the overall limbs silouhettes curves, just a matter of style. I will keep working on it until it is as close as possible to the references. Thanks again!

@@Ghalux No prob. Making changes to make animating easier is something I absolutely understand. From what I've seen, the eye shapes in the show are made by shrink-wrapping or projecting a flat model onto the visor, and then rotating it around the head, so if you're interested in that method you may want to try that. Otherwise, thanks for responding, I was note expecting you to even notice my comment.

Now imagine that and even better and more time consuming apart from the lights, realistic movement and a LOT more things PER FRAME. I think a second has like 24 frames. Your Marlins pretty good but I suggest making your pose more closer to A-pose to make it easier for rigging and the mouth and murder drones for Tessa or for CYN basically Uses joints and then the skin wrap modifier especially because the whole point with the model is to show that the robot is wearing it like a skin suit And also you'll get more flexible ability with animation
