cool video..cool guy... listen..i just got a potaband...used ebay 18v ..older one.... but that thing is really good for getting the most out of copper..and brass..went through some blades at first...now they last longer

If you have a Harbor Freight near you, they have these nice, big copper cutting pliers, they almost look like bolt cutters but for copper only

Great job bro I used to scrap for many years, I remember climbing three old 1800s barns to get the the solid copper cable and lightning rods made some good coin, I even made my own copper wire sripper, I bought an Ironton steel chop saw with a carbide steel blade, It will cut anything you put in it ,I cut 3" cold rolled steel with it, Great job bro

I go to Ben weitsmans in new castle, pa every now and then I love that it's all paved instead of some of the scrap yards

My scrap yard will consider number two copper with the flux and fittings like you said, they also consider the number one copper number two copper if its tarnished. Should I go to the trouble getting the tarnish off the number one copper to get the price of number one copper instead of number two prices?

go to a couple yards and see if they would take the copper with paint or tarnish on it as #1... you never know bc my main yard I go to wont so I go to this other yard for non ferrous metal bc they work with you and pay a little more

That’s how it is here in Joliet I could be picking from a pile of scrap by the curb and you have to move on it really quick or somebody else will pull up right next to you and jump in on it Taking it from you

I live up in Southern NH, and the metal was mostly clean. I do mainly computer scrapping and dropped off shelled out towers, and servers. If only we could get the same rate up here!

@@DumpsterMarcus I just weighed what I've saved over a 6 month period, and it's all from 1 single dumpster. It's about 1/8 solid copper bar wire and 1/2 threaded copper wire! 95 lbs. And my scrap yard is giving $2.30 a pound for bare bright! Good chunk of change

i love the scrap yard.. never been to that one though. i like it bc its so big and easy to get around with a trailer...all the other scrap yards in my area are so small its crazy

@@DumpsterMarcus I like it because it is paved. I also like it because I'm the non-ferrous materials they have the highest prices. very nice employees also. Good place to go. There's two more scrap yards nearby but they aren't paved and it's really rough driving through some of them.
