They are shown to be examples of the biblical pattern of ministry (taking the things that they have been taught by the Apostle Paul and passing them on to others). The message they received from Paul they in turn share with a man named Apollos who was a believer in the coming Messiah but had not learned that Jesus had come and completed His ministry.
