Making ephemera and decorating white pages in a Junk Journal/ Final flip through

I had so much fun making this journal in the live on Saturday. On Sunday, I was able to carve out some time to finish it up. I hope you enjoy this video and seeing my process in decorating signatures.

One of my 2024 goals was to reduce my craft spending because I buy and don’t use! I started with the mindset of “no buy” and realized that made me pouty. I did “buy” some, not like I have in the past. I also joined a “no buy” group on Facebook and donated 3 boxes of crafting supplies. Two were me filling someone’s request for scrapbooking items who were in the group. I had been organizing, so that was an opportunity for me to “shop” my stash in order to share the love of crafting. You know that paper pad I’ve had forever and never used a sheet? that allowed me to pull out the sheets I would use based on my current projects and happily share with two other ladies! My goal has changed to continue with my organization and being ruthless about what I will use and what I won’t. I have a go-away box and have a goal of filling it so I can take it to the re-use shop (or share in the no-buy group). I do allow myself to buy, but I have an internal conversation with myself about what project is this for? And do I really need ALL the colored eyelets! I think you did awesome! I do believe the journey is more about self realization than “torture”. Happy crafting!

Sharing your stash is the best way of using it. I have done that and it is true that there really is more happiness in giving than in receiving. I have to have the same stern talk with myself anytime I think about buying

I love watching you make this journal. I have done better in the past on my no buy but I didn't do too bad. I purchased a coloring class with a kit with my favorite colorist on utube. It was worth it. I spent money on modpodge. I have gotten other supplies on amazon but I used my amazon credits so I didn't spend any money. I have resisted the great sales (so far) that end in March because I figured there would be more sales and if not then I have enough in my stash. I feel pretty proud of myself. I just need to make sure that I don't go crazy in April. That will be the way I can tell if I were really successful. I am proud of you Bitty Penny in your efforts and you paid off a credit card. That must have made you feel so good

I'm still watching (and love the video so far), but I had to say something straight away about your no buy: if you did better than before, that's improvement. Now that I have finished watching I am happy to tell you that this is hands down my favorite journal of all time. There's just something about that soothing color scheme and the images that let your imagination run free. 😍♥️♥️ I absolutely love every page! 🥹 Please make the new owner sign a contract where they swear they will take good care of it and handle this precious creation with lots of love! Lol Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed watching this. ♥️♥️

Such terrific ideas you shared! I am inspired by so many of them. I start my 3 month no buy in April. I will allow myself to purchase glue. For me, the hardest part I think will be not buying digitals. There are so many ones out there that are stunning. I need to remind myself of all the ones that I already have and revisit them. A recent reorganization of craft supplies brought home to me that I have way too much stuff. Use it or donate it is going to be my mantra.
