Making Ephemera with Index Cards

Hi Friends! Today I decided to make some ephemera using index cards I picked up from our local Heb Grocery Store. They are such a great basic supply for junk journaling and a fun little craft! It's also a great scrap buster! I hope you guys join me and make some too! Just pull out some scraps, and book pages. You can definitely pick up some of the digitals I'm using, I'm having a sale for you guys! or just use what you have! If you don't have index cards on hand, any cardstock or even junk mail (like mailers) will do! We're going to cover them up anyways! Just trim it to 3.5x5 or whatever size you like and join me!

Great idea with the masking tape! Love watching you build layers. I think I say that every video. My fav is the tickets over the top with the eyelet. Tfs

These are very pretty! I have never collaged small things before. I just started collaging and so far have only collaged 5.5 x 8.5 papers with scraps. But, I love this idea and will definitely try it. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤😊

I know, I totally feel a little bit rebellious when it comes to little things that don't matter. I think that's why I love junk journaling! It's almost like a rebellious scrapbooker. I remember when the emphasis that was placed on using everything acid free, which I do understand. But if you want to use your own memorabilia you have to seal it and spray it... Lol. I remember I just wanted to craft. 😆 But I do understand when you want to learn techniques, you do have to follow rules, but once you got them down, then you can break them and make new trends! 🙌🏻 Well, I have to say that's for art. I realize in life rules are important. But I think it's important to look at the whys. Can you tell I feel a bit strong on the subject. 😃

@@RaindropLila7 I totally agree. When scrapbooking started becoming a 'big deal', I didn't have the budget to purchase all the supplies and used what I had. It was more important to save my photos where we could enjoy them.
