Hi there, this is a fantastic question! First thing you want to do is be CERTAIN all water is removed if you are using dehydrated mushrooms. If you extract with alcohol, that is a preservative in itself, so nothing can grow. If using glycerin, it doesn't allow oxygen, and nothing can grow as well. Using either method should filter any impurities if there are any left behind. Again, if using dehydrated mushrooms, you must be certain no water exists. You can always use the powdered version of the mushroom to ensure no water is present.

That won’t be enough heat. You can use 99% ethanol alcohol and leave the herbal extract in it for about 7 days and you’ll get an extract without heat.
