Thank you, thank you for bringing back the frugality aspect of FI. I think we are at our best when we cut ruthlessly, figure out what's valuable to us, and increase a little bit of spending back on the things we value most.

I recommend the first day if there is a pool or park nearby make it fun and relaxing. Each day we planned an adult activity and a more child-centered activity. My son loves playing in parks and meeting other kids so we did that on a daily basis that led to invites to dinner to birthday parties etc One of his favorite trips was coming with me on a consulting trip in Haiti and basically he just played every day at the school with the kids and went to their classes he still thinks it was the most fun he's ever had.

You will love the Singapore flight. Did that one many times… the time passes so quickly when you are pampered like that lol

I don't recommend Merino wool. I bought a super expensive shirt for a trip and after wearing it once it smelled like bo. I follow the instructions.
