Hello friends today I will show you an easy way to de-function your Christmas lights!! Making steady flicker-free Christmas lights tutorial. By removing the plate we can see all the electronic components that perform the sequencing functions of our lighting arrangement. The most important are at the output, those components with long legs with black heads called thyristors that act as flashers in our lights. These components function as switches opening and closing the flow of current. These work through the energy sent by the microcontroller chip of the circuit through high current signals that will reach the center leg (2), energizing it with a very low current that activates it, acting as a bridge for legs 1 and 3 in which 1 is the direct current input that will reach pin 3, which is the output to the lights. When this small thyristor discharges, it closes the flow of current, thus turning off the lights and repeating the cycle. To disable the function of turning the lights on and off, we can simply short-circuit them by joining pin 1 with pin 3. This will cancel the shutdown, leaving the current flow always constant. I show you some alternatives in case you do not have the experience and tools such as soldering iron and tin to make solder joints. Also some tips and an explanation of why I made this video.
