300g minced pork (15% fat)
green beans (with ends cut-off)
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 onion, sliced
1 tomato, diced
Sauce Mixture
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp ouster sauce
2 tbsp cooking wine
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1. Prepare cooking oil in a deep pot over medium heat. Deep-fry the green beans (in batches) until wrinkly, around 5 minutes. Set aside to drain.
2. In a separate pan, heat up 1 tbsp of oil, then stir-fry the pork first until slightly browned and all the water has evaporated (or remove most of the water). This may take 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how much water is in the pork.
3. Set the pork aside in the pan, then add oil as needed to sauté the onions then the garlic. After about a minute, add the tomato then stir in with the pork until the tomato is cooked. Don't overcook the tomatoes as the chunks provide flavor and texture.
4. Add the sauce mixture then mix well until well-coated.
5. Stir in the green beans then mix well.
