Making Flavorful Shredded Chicken and Broth

1 whole chicken
water
1. In a deep pot, add enough water to cover the chicken.
2. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
3. Drain the broth through a strainer, let cool, then refrigerate. Use as a broth for your other dishes.
4. Shred the chicken meat by hand, or use a fork to pull the meat apart. Discard the skin and bones.
