The reason the frosting wasn’t smooth, was because you used the stiff mixed with the medium. When I make sugar cookies, I usually make royal icing, which is what the pros use to decorate sugar cookies. It smooths out when you use it, and it tastes good too! I would highly recommend using it next time!

A tip is to use a toothpick to smooth out the icing and make sure the cookie is cooled down. To prevent sticking on cookie cutters dip the cutters in flour after each stamp. :)

Decorator here! I recommend one color at a time, start with one section and let it harden before adding the next color, this will help keep them from mixing and blending so much! Hope this helps! (Oh and if you want a shimmery kind of glitter effect and want to avoid that reaction to the spray, you can try using colored sanding sugar. Frost the part of the cookie you want with the base color, then dip the cookie into the matching colored sanding sugar while it's still wet and it'll give it a little bit of a shimmer! Edit: I realize now I'm kind of late, but this just now appeared in my recommended!

Tip: when cutting cookies, its best to cut a close to the edge as possible. That way you can just slide them out of the whole thing. (And yes, with these types of cookies, its best to use flour when cutting)

Ive actually never watched her old videos in a long time its pretty nostalgia to watch them again. Its sad she hasnt posted yet 😢 she had said she was working on a project video on an other video i had watched and she said it might even take a long time.
