I agree. I’m 66 and I love making soap and the prices are high for ingredients. Hubby passed away last October and I think it’s time for me to end the soap business and really retire. Maybe prices will go down some after a couple of years but starting 2023 I going to take trips and visit family and make soap for friends & family. Good luck on your new adventure in soap & pottery. I feel the same. I can’t see myself charging a gold mine for one bar of soap.

I was wondering where you were and looked on Instagram and found you! The soap videos definitely don’t show up on my timeline as much as it used to. I have to seek them out now. KZbin seems to have their flavor of the month it seems. If you’re happy, I’m happy but I do miss your videos. I understand the time consumption. That’s probably why I never started videos. Girl I just love all your videos and soaps! What upsets me right now is, before your farewell video, some times I didn’t see when you uploaded, even though I’m subscribed to your channel.. but now, after you uploaded the farewell video, my feed is literally filled with your videos. It’s like KZbin seen this video and decided to fix it now, after the fact. Like seriously, I’m looking at KZbin on my TV right now and I see “making flower child soap and flowers” “making fairy door soap” “making breakfast under the sea soap” and then some other soap makers soaps. But it really bothers me that they are just now popping up on my feed but before, I had to go to your channel to find the new videos. It’s happened with quite a few of the soapers i watch daily. Please don't stop making soap like Yellow Cottage Soapery did. She took some time off from youtube and then all of a sudden, she was auctioning off all of her supplies and stuff on facebook and was quitting the industry. Never knew why, but that's her personal business, but like you, she was very unique in what she showed and offered. Please don't give it up all together. You're very imaginative and a great designer. Yellow Cottage Soapery is now really focused on flower growing, she had a complete change of business and decided to focus on flower growing, which I believe is a huge passion for her. I closed my soap business down last year as it's just SO HARD to make an income from it, the market is saturated with soap and candle makers. I still make soap but just for personal use and gifts now.

Totally understand the decision to prioritize other pursuits. One of the most useful things I got from videos was hearing you describe scents in more detail, so I could decide if a given soap in the store was something I'd like. If you ever wanted to do that in an informal way, like on Instagram stories before a release, that would definitely be a benefit for me, and maybe others as well!

Awee, gonna miss ur videos. But I get it. On my instagram I have a few hundred more followers then they show. If I don’t post for a day or 2 they drop 10 of my followers away sometimes more. When I was in the hospital dying from Covid-19 cause I’m in heart failure and I got Covid-19 pneumonia in both lungs throughout both lungs they dropped about 25 of my followers I still can’t get them to put it back where it was. They even dropped a lot of ppl that I follow! I didn’t do that they did. I’ve messaged them a lot! I never get a response. So I started posting to KZbin and I am on TikTok and I am going to do my thing on Instagram and I decided I don’t care if they wanna pull that nonsense. I wanna stop using Etsy also. I have a website through them n a shop with the Etsy. I’m not sure how to make my own website n I don’t wanna mess anything up. Ur soap is amazing as always. I wanna say thank you for being on KZbin as long as u were. When I had Covid pneumonia I watched all ur videos and Ellen Ruth Soap and Holly from Missouri River soap. So thank you.
