I wish i would have watched this before i did my handles. I wouldn't have ran into as many issues if i followed the same steps you did. That handle material looks amazing on that knife.

I've been there plenty of times, watching a video after I mess something up lol. I'm glad that this video helped though.

@@theriversexperience9383 Don't cringe but I put my scales on the way I've seen them do it on forged in fire.... so yeah i had a bit of a mess 🤣 and shaping them when they were attached was a nightmare.. never again. Thank you for showing how it should be done so that others like me getting into this can really learn something to improve in the art.

This is very inspiring my friend! I have some sheet brass and a big fat billet of solid brass laying around. Now I know what to do with it. Thanks man!

Love the progress Erick, beautiful contrast. I have some 5,000 year old Irish Bog Oak I'm going to use with copper pins and after looking at your video I think I'll add the copper liners too... looking forward to Sunday for the finale....👊

On your last video I commented that I'd be tempted to use transparent scales. I stand corrected, your idea is going to look much nicer.
@sudo_nym3 жыл бұрын
I always thought I’d like to use transparent scales on my next knife, but once thing stops me. Glue patterns between the polycarbonate and liners. You want zero air bubbles, otherwise it’s a disaster.

Thanks for posting video. How is the shop after sanding g10/cf? Particles everywhere or did the dust collector work well enough? Bit worried about sanding in our garage where we also have a home gym.
