Making Ghee with the organic process in the village of Darjeeling hills | How Ghee is made |

Here at our small village in Darjeeling , whole family their wives and children were laboriously churning out fresh raw Makkhan from Dahi (curds), and the fresh organic ghee they have produced within one and half hour.
In our common language Nepali we call it "Ghew"

Bro, this is not ghee, this is butter. She would definitely heat the butter to extract ghee from that, you can ask her if she did it or not. My grandma and my mum used to make ghee, so I know. I can relate to the contents of your video so much, because I was born and grew up in a tea garden in North Eastern part of India. Our houses were also on the sides of the hills like your village. Recently I was feeling so homesick and really wanting to revisit that place which contains my childhood memories. But for some reasons I won't be able to go there now or in future either. At this point I found your videos. Although everything from your village is not exactly same as mine, but there are lots of similarities, like the blowing pipe near the choolha, the chimta, moora (stool made out of bamboo for sitting), water through pipes, climbing up or down the hills and so on. . Next time when I'll visit India I'll definitely try to visit Darjeeling and the nearby villages. Love from UK.

First of all Pogo is so adorable, secondly I found the ghee maker very fascinating. In December when I was there in Darjeeling, I must've stayed in 4 to 5 different villages I guess, but I've never seen a Tolung (hope I spelt it right) in any homes... I have to take a confirmed confirmation from Ujwal to take me to his Mamaji's place in my next visit. Simple village life but very hardworking village life, even though it is hard but everybody looks so happy and joyful in whatever they do in their daily living and before I complete,let me tell you Darshan that I'll take ghee from there for sure 😊 Regards #Ashishchandrana

Amazing vlog equally informative and entertaining. Loved this village experience, its activities, farming house structure and simple but hardworking people with smiling faces. Organic method of ghee preparation needs patience and immense labour for the fresh and pure end product.
