In this is the video where we complete the 50's Femme Fatale style wig we’ve been working on through this series. Last time we finished the actual wig making and now it’s time for the styling.
I want to apologise for making you wait for this video for so long. I was in a rush to finish the next generation of Inamorata doll by the end of June and that took priority over KZbin. The 4.0 prototype is now done and shipped to my caster. If everything goes well with samples and my casting order doesn't have to wait too long in their queue, I’m hoping to get preorders started sometime in the Autumn! Excited!
To learn more about my art dolls or to order a doll wig (I can do any doll I have in my collection, so ask, or you can send me a head to model the wig on) visit my website: www.inamoratadolls.com

What an incredible technique for wig making. I have tried so many ways and they were all crap and looked like a thick wig. This is pure genesis. The wig looks awesome! Like you I am a hopeless perfectionist so I feel your pain...lol So glad I found your channel. You do brilliant work. ;)

These are so beautiful! I can’t wait to try your technique! I was wondering if maybe you could show us how to do a more structured hairstyle! I believe I saw you do one with tiny braids 🥹

Thank you for sharing this video Emilia, the hair styling is always on point in your dolls, it takes patience and attention to detail to reach the desired result, but it’s definitely worth it. Can you make a video about the features from your last Inamorata generation when she’s ready? pleaseee❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you! I did film a stringing test before shipping the prototype to the caster, so I have something to show. It won't be a long video, but happy to share it!

Can you do a video on how to create updo’s
@EmiliaCouture
@EmiliaCouture 3 жыл бұрын
That's good idea. What kind of updo did you have in mind? A chignon? Gathered braids? I don't have existing footage filmed for that so it's easy to make whatever style you have in mind.

I was surprised to see the hot glue didn’t melt the cling wrap. Is that possible. Scared to try

Thank you for this tutorial, it's very interesting. Expecially the use of the hot glue nozzle and wood chopsticks. Since I don't have a blank doll head to use as you do, what would you suggest to use instead?
@EmiliaCouture
@EmiliaCouture 3 жыл бұрын
I always build the wig on the right sculpt doll to get the hairline and ear placement correctly, but a hard roundish object in similar size might work. Styrofoam balls melt from heat so they aren't ideal, but maybe a ping pong ball or wooden bead with about 12cm circumference could do in a pinch. In this case I would first make the cap, then put it on the actual doll head to plan the hairline, then tie it back of the model head for gluing the hair on. Note that the cap can shrink and change shape if it's now tied in place well and on a round object you have no ears and other shapes to use to anchor the strings, so it would be extremely hard... I don't think I could do it myself. Honestly I would recommend just getting a blank doll head. I have some B-quality 1st generation Inamorata heads I can part with so just email me emiliacouture(at)gmail.com and I'll sell you one.

@@EmiliaCouture Thank you for your help! I would gladly ask you for a blank head, but first I need to adopt an Inamorata complete! ^__-

@@EmiliaCouture It would be interesting to see how to model doll shoes.... I try sometimes, using cheap modeling clay, but it's always difficult!

@@giorgiabertoldi7554 Just remind me when you do your order and I'll check if I have any old heads in a sculpt that has similar ear placement to the one you order. All Inamorata can share wigs of course, but it's much easier to make the wig when the hairline matches.
