Farmer on the Prairie is about my life on our central Illinois farm. My name is Seth and I am a young farmer with the desire to get things done and to keep the farm running smoothly. The farm is 740 row crop acres and 100 acres of pasture. We run about 100 grass-fed cattle and 1500 meat birds a year. Throughout my videos, you will get to know Dad, MommaD, and Sister. My brothers Josiah and Luke help us whenever there is a big project so they can feel important. We also have a part time employee Ben who is the comic relief. Because so many different things happen on our farm, there is never a dull moment. So tap that Subscribe button and come along for the ride!

Truly enjoyed seeing your sister Seth. She bring a refreshing helpful experience to the channel. Love to see more interaction with the family. Have you our Momma D thought of getting a PO Box in your shows name so we can send you gifts? Excellent visuals and yes your talents show from mechanical to welding. It takes good practice to be proficient in welding. Russell in Houston,Texas

Really enjoyed this video. Such a huger amount of work is involved in farming. I think most people have no idea what it takes to keep food on our tables. Welding gets better and better with practice. The equipment always seems to find a way to let you know it is important by breaking in the middle of the project. Thanks for sharing.

Great video in a subject I have a love/hate relationship with - HAY! I am a summertime hay buckler on a friend's farm. Unload wagons and stack. Nice to see the ladies on the video today! Sorry about breakdowns, but looks like you have a great handle on them! We do our own welding repairs to our goat equipment, and it never matters how pretty it is, as long as the job gets done, it is a job well done! One more thing I have noticed since tour last video - the upgrade in confidence is amazing! Keep it up, keep 'em comin'!

The first ad that popped up was for an ad blocker app. That kinda says KZbin is using you to their advertisers benefit and doesn't care a rats behind about you. It was sad to see the tedder On the chain like that. When you said it was on its' last legs you weren't kidding. Good to see Sister and Moms' hand in the video. Taking up the slack!

You weather forecast isn't too different than ours. Our daytime temps are in the low 70's and a heavy dew at night. Hard to get hay to dry with these conditions. When the next front comes through, 80's during the day and no dew at night so it will be "Go-Time" on hay here in southern Indiana.

Good job, young man, and lady! Excellent camerawork. It must be nice to farm on land that is so flat. You had a beautiful day that day. Love those clouds! Be sure to wear plenty of full spectrum, SPF 30 or better, sunscreen. The sun is more intense, these days. I'm thinking there are probably plenty of videos on KZbin on welding, that you can check out to learn some tricks to the skill. Subscribed!

If those mower blades are worn,,,not bent or cracked, you might resharpen them yourself and balance them in sets of two. Balance them with their own weight. Grind a bit off the heavier one and make pairs. If the steel is structurally sound you should be ok. I have been a mechanic and ironworker all my life and now I am a Blacksmith,,,, if that mower was mine, I would do this for myself. Great work, nice sound, wonderful drone footage. Just remember AOC has said that we don't need farms because we have grocery stores. Your farm has a farm store . Some really dumb people get elected, they could never farm. Keep up the good work.

I am not a farmer,,, those of us I this country that make a living from farming get my respect for their decisions.
