It is very interesting to find out that you have the same instrument as we have. There are some differences though which adds variety and beauty in the techniques of the player and the instrument itself. For instance, whenever you need to pause on a given note, you strike several times on that note for the duration of the note with one hand (striker), so it feels like that the audience listen to a non-connected strikes. However, whenever, we want to pause on a note, we strike that notes again several time with both hands, left hand strike after right hand strike and this pattern goes on for the duration of the note. As the strikes are very close together in time that it feels like that the audience is listening to a one note as though a violin is playing; the strikes are not recognizable, we call that technique "REEZE". Turning to the instrument, your instrument is much more sophisticated in terms of the variety of the notes and octaves presented to the player.

They are called "пальцетки" (paltsetki), the title comes from 'palets' - a finger, which holds ones
