Normally I don't bother to comment but may be I am from HUNZA and I can relate too much to her struggle. After so long I am watching such a genuine person or artist who is talking stuff like this without thinking about these so called social media trolls or Pr. Though Hunza is very beautiful place but there are also thousands of ugly stories of discouragement, class differences, gender discrimination and the list goes on. I am very great full to this podcast that finally it brought someone who is talking about parenting and societal pressure as this is very deteriorating for the mental health of a child. Natasha is very lucky and strong to come out like this and proved her self. There are alot of Natashas who are struggling in their own way in HUNZA and prove themselves on daily bases in their educational institutions, working places and their own homes. More power to every warrior keep going🙌

1:19:00 it's called a language isolate. it's one of the few remaining languages that cannot be classified into larger language families/groups. basque spoken in the basque county in spain is one such example. also, burushaski didn't have an original script, it was never recorded in written format. the one she's talking about was developed fairly recently by adapting it from urdu script. anyway, it was an interesting interview. i think it's very courageous of her to talk so openly about her personal relationship and life struggles. most people, looking at the small hunza community from outside assume that it is some kind of utopia where social ills don't exist. sure it is relatively progressive in many aspects when you compare it to rest of the region, but the things she is talking about do exist and most people choose to hide them or just don't talk about it more often. kudos to her for talking without fear.

Proud of you for being so open about your journey. I am sure your Father must of proud of you before and now too. Though he might have handled the things differently just because of the societal norms or pressure. However, his blessings are always with you. Just pray for his soul and have peace with him. Focus on the good memories which you had with your father. Highly relatable story. Bless the people who remained the reason behind destroying your relationship with your father. At the end of the day we all are accountable to Allah Almighty not for the people who have time and energy for all these unnecessarily stuff. Hard time teaches us to understand who is with us and who is not. So you are blessed for that phase.

Once my car broke in front of jamaat khana, and the mechanic took time to fix it. I was afraid to miss the magrib prayer so I entered Jamaat Khana for wuzu when I got out of the washroom, their security was standing outside the washroom gate. They asked me how did I enter the jamat khana, they were so angry that I wasn't able to answer them. I walked out of the jamat khana and had nightmares for a few days.

I’m an Ismaili Muslim and in our prayer times we allow only those people who did Bayat of our Imam. In past many times we had threatened by terroist, so we have to empty Jamat khanas.many times people come to make videos to make proof that we are kafir.few years ago in our karimabad jamat khana we had bomb blast ,a woman and her son died. In Karachi, safora case, everybody knows that many members of our community died. In western world anyone can book a tour and visit our Ismaili centres. All our fellow citizens can book a tour and we have many lectures and programs about interfaith harmony and pluralism. I’m sorry brother you have this experience but you need to understand the other side of story.when i was a kid all my non ismaili friends were allowed to attend Nikkah or Mayat ceremonies. I live in Canada all my sunni, shia, christian friends did tour of Ismaili Centre and Aga khan museum, which is the only Museum in North America dedicated for Muslim arts. Many of our Pakistani artists like Ali sethi ,Meesah shafi perform in our social hall.we invite all scholars not only from Muslim world but also from christian and jew world. Inshah Allah one day come when people of Pakistan will learn to sit with each other and have dialogues to learn and Improve Pakistan pluralism. We need to stop judging each other faith, the only judge in this world and other is Allah. Stay blessed

Sorry to hear about that. Having a bomb thrown in Jamat Khaana, threats of shooting, and the infamous sahna e Safoora. We are always under pressure. The volunteers' reply was not professional but that's what we are dealing with. If you are in other countries like UK Canada Portugal UAE. We have Ismaili centres open for people with different faiths and you can perform your prayers as well

if bombs were not thrown at Jamat Khanas, if people don't go with knives to attack worshipping Ismailis, if their Jamati buses were not attacked , probably they will be less skeptical of random people going in.
