Hi Iris, I may not know what makes you anxious but I completely understand what it means to be anxious, fear, experience extreme stress etc but you know as children of God, he commands us in his word to "Be anxious for nothing.." Philippians 4 verse 6, and God has warned us severally in his word not to fear. When we allow fear into our lives, it comes with it's family members such as doubt, self pity, sickness, worries, diseases etc. I'll like to share how I overcame these things with you, I pray it helps you too. I don't know how it began but few years ago I noticed I became fearful, constantly anxious, stressed from work etc and one day I began to feel severe ache in my lower back. I 'prayed' (more of complained) about it but it just didn't go away. The pain lingered for too long until one day I was discussing with my sister in-law and she asked if I'd prayed about it and I said *well yes* 😊 but when I dropped the call, it dawned on me that I didn't talk to God sincerely about how I felt but rather I felt He knows and sees so why couldn't he heal me. I crawled back to him as a child who had been distant from her father and as I sat before Him reading his word, listening to his voice, my eyes were opened to things that were stealing my joy, things I was watching on Instagram, Facebook, movies, books, etc that opened the door to these emotions, He also directed my attention to the fact that I wasn't handling my time well and that made me work longer and more than necessary. Some times we forfeit peace, healing, good health and sound mind cos we do not take these concerns to God in prayer. I pray you learn from me and find time to talk to God about how you feel, read his word, spend time in his presence and allow him heal your heart and take off every burden. After 6 of my family members got covid and recovered in August, today we found a new covid positive -my 85 yrs old grandfather...we have to face this stubborn virus and not sure when this will end... I am now without both of my beloved parents and , as an only child, feel so alone. I have had much trauma and dark seasons before my mom passed and I am struggling to have hope for blessings and abundance. I'm sorry about the loss of your mom. I hope she was a Christian and is now safe in the arms of Jesus. If so, death is but a temporary seperation. One day, you will see her again in heaven. Share Christ with all your loved ones, and even strangers, as God leads! You are never alone. Jesus is with you and watches over you. Never has He left you or forsaken you, and He never will. He is with you, He is behind you, He has gone ahead of you whatever challenges lie ahead. About negative thoughts. This is where the devil would want you to stay. Dwelling on negative thoughts and that nothing good is in your future. Reject this, even if it means every second or minute, keep emptying out the negative thoughts, and replace it with God's Word, Promises, Truth. The strategy: Reject the negative and Replace with the positive (God's Truth). Draw close to God daily by praying and reading His Word so you can be encouraged, strengthened, guided and inspired by Him daily. And dwell, saturate your mind with more and more on His Word. His Word is healing to mind, body and soul. May you experience His Presence with you in life. Above all, may you increase in the knowledge and revelation of God Himself. Keep your eyes on Jesus. He loves you and cares for you. There is fullness of joy in the presence of JESUS, both now and for ALL ETERNITY! Thank you for the prayers and encouragement. My heart is breaking because my son is suffering badly and has been suffering for some time. Mental anguish and he’s in ICU heavily sedated, in restraints now for 7 days. He may have brain damage from an assault. Please pray for good compassionate doctors. I just was visiting and he only has one eye. Tears were flowing out of his good eye and all he could say is “I feel bad”. He told me he’s not going to make it home this time. I told him he is coming home. This is temporary. Every time I tell him God is with him. He will make it. He’s coming home. I promised him because we trust God. God always gets him home. I pray no more. No more psych hospitalizations. They plan on putting him in psych but not enough staff so they’re keeping him heavily sedated iN ICU until Monday. I believe but I’m not feeling well at all. It hurts so bad to see him suffer. He needs to come home and live his life Then I get home and family is lying about me and after mom’s money and trying to make her life miserable and mine. Can I email you. This is so much Going on. I admit I’ve had many down days. Today was reading Powerful Thinking by Joyce Meyer. 12 mindsets. I’m starting on the first mindset today and stick with it until God says go to next one. My husband gets angry at me because I have feelings and it’s hard for a mother to watch her son suffer over and over and over again. I have no help and helping mom every day. She is 87. Please pray for her health and memory and good days for her too. Some family members trying to take joy from her life. Heartbreak for her too. And my dad’s death. So much. I’m trying. My mindset is Phil 4:13. And because I am in Christ, I can do whatever needs to be done. I’m kind of a mess and I need a lot of help from God and I trust Him to help and work everything out for my son and my mother and all my children and grandchildren and family for our good and His glory. Thank you for being here. I need this. I have no Christian friends and feel alone often. Need to find a church that believes in miracles. Pray for my husband in pain every day at 62 working so hard as a mechanic with no retirement. He never complains. Praying for the awful dreams to be gone in Jesus name and I will have peaceful sleep and wake rested. Sorry for writing so much. I just need Jesus all the time. Life seems so difficult right now. For many years. I need renewed joy. Working on it. Believing for it. But mostly my son for complete deliverance and a great testimony- oh he’s suffering too much. That he be overwhelmed with the presence and joy of the Lord right now in ICU. And he has a sound mind. The mind of Christ. He is whole and well and coming home whole and well. I love him so much but God loves him more. That God’s presence fill that room, heal him, make him well. So he can get out of restraints and not suffer this anguish anymore ever

Dear Lisa,, I did the same as you when going through my divorce. It was so full filling to be around Godly saints, and being embarrassed with the elderly and wise. I went to Lakewood and was giving huge amounts of strength. The atmosphere elevated my mind.❤ As saints we carry each other through
