This is the inspiration I needed, thanks. Working on a motorized bike with a ridiculous fat tire

THANK YOU, Ive been getting headaches trying to find a absurdly large sprocket/ a #410 jackshaft/ or buying a different motor with built in reduction for my fat-tire trike project.

I have a 206 cc engine from a ground tiller. Wanting to build something. Came Across jack shaft assemblies..thinking. can't I use a Mountain bike tire socket for it. Checking out videos and I found yours. 👍👌

Where you get single sprocket

If you need a wheel to do this, call your local bike shop and ask if they have any back wheels with a sprocket they're throwing away. Tell them it's for a project and you're looking for a broken or bent wheel with a sprocket. If the bike shop doesn't have one they're throwing away they'll have one within the week. Just ask them to take your name and number and call if there's a wheel heading for the trash can. Just set it aside so you can pick it up . Be respectful and just ask, there's no harm in asking just wait till they're not busy and able to answer the phone. I did this idea myself today just slightly different with spacers and bolts but I'm trying to make another one to have an even slightly better gear ratio and I need another back wheel. Several local bike shops have my number on standby for the next broken wheel lol. This is as free as it gets lol . I called one bike shop today and they had one in the trash that they pulled out and gave go me for free.

Thanks for the comment! Lots of good info. I personally like to find free bike people are giving away or throwing out. Lots of good useful part for when you wanna build the next project.

Could you just keep the regular 7 speed freewheel cassette instead of the single speed freewheel? Also for folks in the future, if your rear hub has 6 holes for a break disc, you can just simply buy sprockets with the 6 holes already there and no drilling/modifications will be required. The 6 hole bolt diameter is 44mm. Great vid.

You definitely can use a multiple speed cassette if you have the room. I used the single speed simply because of the size of the sprocket. The single speed is much smaller than the smallest sprocket on the multi speed and that gave me the gear ratio I was looking for

Would it be possible to use the 7 speed sprocket aswell as a derailer and longer chain and be able to shift through the gears?
