NOTE: Most of these campaigns were made for the original CD version of the game. With the exception of "Wolfcastle 2" and "The Latean Project" (which use mod packs), they can all be played in the Definitive Edition, but some features like custom music may not work as intended. (You can also play them in AoE2:HD, which essentially functions as the CD version but on Steam.)

As a Pole I really admire your work ! Campaign is fun to play and story-line is by far the best in the game. You paid attention to even smallest details such as Błedów Desert :D I'm really happy that people behind Polish campaign, civilization design and voice actors did such amazing work. If I can report to you, there is one mistake - in 6th Polish Mission where Jogaila inform us that Jadwiga died, dates were swapped - Jadwigas' child died 2 week after birth and Jadwiga died 4 days after her daughter.

I still remember the very first time I download custom scenario from AoK heavengames is Rockspring Revolution. When you mention some of old high quality custom scenario like Ulio,Sabato returns,Blood of the Bear it reminds me of those good old days when I still play this game on my old outdated PC. Gwyndlengard series is one of the best scenario I ever play. It makes me happy found out that my favourite custom campaign creator from AoKH now officially making campaign for New It's been a while since I left this game. I already complete all of DE Campaign and just bought Lord of the west last month but Still doesn't have time to play it. Thanks Lord Basse for making me enjoy my good old days with your campaign.

Gwyndlengard was one of those classic fantasy campaigns that will live on in our memories. Really thoughtful and good stuff!

I'm so happy that thanks to this more people will find out about Jadwiga. She was my hero when I was growing up. It's really interesting. She was crowned as king (not queen) of Poland at the age of 10/11. She spoke 6 languages and was a great diplomath - even her enemies admitted that it was impossible to get from her more that decided to give before. She was also able to lead troops into the battle like for example like in 1387 when she conqured Ruthenia (she was 13 at that time). She tripled the size of the kingdom by diplomacy, marriage and wars. And her marriage with grand duke of Lithuania - Jogaila was the most important marriage in history of Europe because thanks to it Poland and Lithuania were united under one crown for more than 400 years and the only reason why they broke up is because they were attacked and occupied by Russia, Prussia and Asutria. Sadly she passed away at the age of 25/26.

one of the tiny details I love about modern aoe 2 map design is the placement of gold and stone mines makes sense geologically. For example they are usually found near Mountains and rock formation. Not just randomly in a grassy field

I hope Austria civs will be add in next dlc or expansion, Magyar and Austria form Austria-Hungary, or partner like Poland and Lithuania. other less know civs like Perm, Udmurt and Finish the Uralic civilization Udmurt or Perm in Siberian, very close to Kazan Tatar Khanate, Avars, Alan and Vandal civs in beginning of medieval ages. Armenia, Georgia and Circassia civs of Caucasus. then Thai, Tibet, Sri Lanka/Ceylon, Maldives, Tamil, Kazakh, Yakut, Khitan, Manchu and Visayan [Central Philippine, Pre-Spanish],Africa civs=Somali, Swahili, Hausa, Chad/Kanem, Benin, Congo, Zimbabwe/Shona and Malagassy/Madagascar, for European, Wallachia, Denmark, Sweden, Swiss Confederacy, Venice, Bavaria and Russia should be add they are most important in medieval and renaissance history especially age of empires 2 theme.

Jadwiga is one of best campaigns in game. Top-5. Also, you did a greeaaat story, best in game. You romantized real life but without overdo, especially concept where Jadwiga waiting for her child in bed and tells her history...and in last mission she disappeared and Jogailo finish her story, story of "Star of the Poles". Great!

To be honest, you guys did an amazing job! The glorious days from amazing stories of Age of Kings and Conquerors are back, these 3 campaigns managed to rival their storytelling. I'm not sure though if this beats the Ensemble campaigns, they did the storytelling just masterfully, but Jadwiga could be even better!

LordBasse and filthydelphia are the Dave Filoni and John Favreau of AoE II. Two fans who really know the material and know what the audience loves and wants and then they got to make the DLCs, so well deserved! Would be really cool in the future, if those other custom campaigns you made for the steam workshop thing to be included in a future DLC. Doesn't matter if they are historical or not. Gwyndlegard...so hard and different to the normal gameplay, but really showed what the sandbox design of the game gave players. It's not just a platform to make battles, but also some story telling based on small groups of heroes that walk across a huge map for sidequests.

If you mean the off-grid placement, you can use CTRL+G to toggle between a few different placement modes.

I admire your work. Still, I think that Jadwiga's grand grandfather Władysław the Elbow-Height would be the perfect protagonist. From a tiny princeling, to the supporter of the dashing Przemysł II, to an exile hiding in the mountains, to a king of a restored and reunified kigdom. And on top of that, he likely had dwarfism.

I have the original age games, and used to play them all the time, but when my computer broke down i got a newer one that could run DE. Unfortunately I never new that people made custom campaigns on AoK heaven. I really want to play a scenario like Ulio with the same feel. got any suggestions basse? btw I didn't know you worked on this scenario that's very cool.

"Ulio" is still one of the best campaigns ever made, although "The King's Best Men" might actually be my favourite out of Ingo van Thiel's works! Other campaigns with dark stories would be "The Successor", "Blood of the Bear" or "Halfdan and the inheritance of the Ynglings". Almost all of the top-rated scenarios and campaigns at AoKH are really good, though, so if you go through a few of those I'm sure you will find something to your liking! aok.heavengames.com/blacksmith/lister.php?&category=campaign&start=0&s=r&o=d
