Do you have to bevel before glue up? Or can you get away with beveling edges after glue up/sanding? I'm proving to have difficulty beveling edges on 1.4mm leather. Bunches up, not even, etc. Appreciate any tips.

Try holding a ruler near the edge of the leather while beveling
