Brick Experiment Channel

Күн бұрын

Testing a Lego car against different obstacles and improving it until it becomes a capable climber.
Demonstrates what you need to consider: wheel diameter, gear ratio, 4-wheel drive, tire grip, breakover angle, weight distribution. Enjoy!
Base rules for all builds:
-4 wheels
-no steering (to simplify the builds)
-only Lego parts used
Remote control:
SBrick www.sbrick.com/sbrick.html
BrickController 2 app (Android) play.google.com/store/apps/de...
PlayStation 4 wireless controller

@@lagule Given the tools he had at hand you can't really expect him to build anything more than a toy car. But this kind of problem solving, and outside-of-the-box thinking is not far from what JPL engineers had to do when building the iconic Mars rovers.
@lagule
@lagule 3 жыл бұрын
@@Sammy197 its not really this type of problem solving required for designing rover drones, and I liked this video because it reminded me I had done the same vehicle as a kid but with another axle as the joint between the two articulated parts. As far as I know I'm not a nasa, jpl or northropp gruman engineer

@@lagule a rover is not that complex tbh. It's a car with a couple more wheels and independent adjustable suspension we built a scale model for a robotics event worked just fine. It could even plant seeds.

Great video! I find this video very metaphorical with respect to real life! - nothing is perfect the first time - adapt to any problem you face in life - it's ok to fail, get up and try again, find alternate methods if need be - persevere - not possible? have you tried once? - think out of the box ...

This is today's Legos??? Wth? I want some! (I am 52, lol). I grew up with Legos and they were one of the greatest things since action figures... (Wish I still had my Evel Knievel can with bike and ramp, ka-ching! Not to mention all the Star Wars stuff I had in the early 80's). Just amazing to watch some of the things I grew up with become so advanced. This is really Kool and should be a lesson in all schools. Thanks for sharing. 🤟✌️👊😁
