I tried making them at home and I found the biggest key, make the chicken mixture and let it sit in the fridge overnight then batter and fry. The taste difference between frying right away and letting the chicken marinade OVERNIGHT is INTENSE .

They really tasted like the McNugget. Personal criticism, cut back on the sodium, personal taste. If I could have pressed them with some type of form, the meat would have been more firm. I do like that they were light and not dense. Thanks for the recipe, a lot of work, I forgot to mention, freeze skin before processing with the very cold chicken. I still don't like Mickey's Nuggets, but the kid do. I last ate them in 1989.

@@nieladrew I made the nuggets without the barbeque sauce because I didn't have most of the ingredients for it but the nuggets turned out great! I do have to say they were a bit salty but that might've been on me as I think I accidentally added too much salt. Other then that they tasted really good and had an authentic McNugget taste and they genuinely tasted like McDonalds! Tried them with Sweet and Sour sauce and it was amazing. Very simple and fun recipe so I will definitely make more of these in the future.

For everyone talking shit, I work for the company that makes the McDonald's Chicken McNuggets. Like, I've literally seen the product go completely from chicken to the cases the bags of nuggets are boxed and shipped out in. They are nothing but finely ground (to a paste, practically) chicken breast and whatever seasonings are in the batter. No chicken heads, feet, organs, cartilage, etc. Just all white 100% chicken breast. I've literally seen the entire process with my own eyes. That's that.

Eon, how does it not make sense, brands make deep fryers so people can have them at home. I have one and use it to make fries, potato chips, and some other things. I use it like 3 times a week. But I always end up making to many fries.

Especially when you see like "1 cup of cold butter"... how the hell do I measure solid butter in a cup accurately...

I love watching his videos. Never fails tho... I always show up thinking “Hey! Maybe I can actually make this one!” and then he proceeds to take out equipment I can never afford along with ingredients I have never heard of and does prep that I would never have to the time for in a laundry list of steps that make me dizzy with complexity and confusion. These turned out awesome even though I didn’t follow it exactly. I’m broke so I used a cheese grater on some frozen chicken breast. I also subbed w/gluten free flour. I don’t have msg or white pepper but I made it work with other seasonings. It still turned out great! 😊 Thanks!
