my favorite way to garner wealth in this update is honestly to plunder freighters, specifically in outlaw systems, because not only do you avoid sentinel interceptors, but you also get illegal goods from the freighter cargo. selling the loot you get will easily get you 10's of millions for only a few minutes of especially fun work.

BTW I recently discovered that, when going for your first time to the Space Station, you can just repeatedly talk to the same alien for three times, if you want...saves alienating three guys against you. Enjoying this playthrough Bob! Thanks so much!

It feels like such an exploit though.. there's no way it's intended for you to make 50 million in 3 minutes shooting them without any consequences or challenge. Sure, your standing goes down but that literally affects nothing except some missions.. and you can restore your standing with just one button anyway.

Any new players going to the Space Station the first time should not talk to the Vendor npc’s. Only the npc’s walking around. Unless HG fixed that. Glad you’re doing another play guide, Bob!!

14:33, For those who dont know, X class modification is a Unlicanced After Market Mod. Basically a Illegal Mod, or a Pirate Mod.

Just a note on that, even though it's called an "illegal" mod it won't trip a sentinel scan if they check your cargo like illegal goods would.

In addition to the shield upgrades, you can also disassemble the photon cannon from the crashed ships when it is damaged for even more resources. Not as valuable as the wiring loom you get from the shield upgrades, but not useless.

@@SurvivalBobGaming it only works when it is damaged. Maybe a quarter of the time it is not damaged and you can't do anything with it, but when it is damaged you can disassemble it.

Ship scrapping tips: 1. As Bob said, repairing tech slots doesn’t affect the price, so don’t bother. Cargo slots do, though. 2. In my opinion, it’s only worth spending time fixing cargo slots if the overall value of the ship is 10 mil or more. Even then, just do the fairly easy slots. Don’t waste a lot of time or resources. If you’re not sure the value of the ship, view it with your visor. 3. Sentinel ships are worth a ton more to scrap, so once you can do those, they are much better. More difficult to do, though.

I fixed the very first crashed ship I found walking around on my starter planet on my first save. Like completely fixed it 100%. It was one helluva job but felt accomplished afterwards, also I really like the ship (it's my main ship). Though this was long before I knew scrapping was a thing and long before they updated the value of ships.

I also just started a fresh game to get a feels for all the new changes to the game. Started in a pretty good system so far. I must say though to watch out if you come across the outlaw starting quest. I’m still stuck with my starter multi tool, and that quest has you fight sentinels which was no big deal before. However, it seems they replaced the original sentinels with the corrupted versions. So my weak blaster could not put a dent into their constant healing each other. So make sure to upgrade the weapons a bit before trying it.

Three questions that I had while watching this episode: 1) With the supercharge slots on your Exosuit, is it better to put the base tech piece in there, or the upgrade tech that modifies the base tech? 2) When you're trying to find distress beacons and click on the Cartography Chart -- and it says you already have that building type (or whatever) found -- do you just need to fly deeper into space to get a possible new distress beacon? Is it better to go to a different system? I got stumped with a stack of 10 charts in my inventory, and it didn't seem like I could use them to get more distress beacons because it kept coming back with an "abandoned building" result. 3) Does it matter what type of system you're in, and who owns it, for getting better ships out of distress beacons? (Like if you start in a Gek system, is it better to go somewhere else if you're looking for fighters?)

1. Base tech usually. Xaine has a good guide on that. 2. There are 5-6 types. Just keep trying until you get them all. You can get the same type many times in a row though. It’s random. 3.it does matter. More fighters in Vy keen systems.

@@SurvivalBobGaming Thanks! I started taking your advice and going into space first, then clicking on the charts -- and it seems to have a much higher success rate. I'm finding a lot of C-class shuttles and haulers in the Gek system I started in. But I did find two A-class shuttles. Not much else so far! Does the class of the ship (A, B, C, S, etc.) affect the value of the cargo hold space when you want to scrap it? I did an experiment to see how much each cargo slot would give me in terms of extra revenue, if I repaired the damaged slot first -- and it seemed to give me about 225,000 credits more for each cargo slot that I fixed fixed -- so fixing 8 of them gave me *almost* an extra 2 million credits when I went to scrap it. Definitely worth it, for the slots that are relatively easy to fix -- but not necessarily worth the hassle for the ones that require rare resources.

I play survival and if you get the X class hazard supports, which are 10% each in supercharge you'll boost them to 38%. Makes a huge difference.

I'm fairly early in the game still and I didn't know about making cash by finding broken skips until recently. I had been struggling for cash, but recently found that somehow I had nearly 600M credits. I'm guessing that some generous player gifted me cash sometime that I was AFK in the Anamoly.

Bob should have mentioned that the first 3 being you talk to, on your first trip to the Space Station, will not talk to you again, so make sure you don't talk to any of the merchants/vendors as the first three 'cause they won't sell you stuff after that.

You can't sell multi-tools, directly. But, you can scrap them at the Anomaly and sell the scrap you get.

28:20 Actually no, you _craft_ one for 40 instantaneously, but you can _refine_ one for 30 and refine it back to 40, so in the end you get exact same 10 extra. And yes, I've checked this a few days ago. Your price is time since it takes a whole darn minute to refine 1 jelly.

@@SurvivalBobGaming Same here. I'd rather fly around and shoot stuff with Positron Ejector. Not the best weapon for space combat, but darn it's great for gathering basic resources. Works even on stuff underwater. I just stumbled upon this ability to refine more from less and decided to check is it for real. Apparently it is, just awfully slow. Technically you can do it non-stop in your backpack without loosing time, but then you paying for it with carbon and you'll constantly hear it working in background. XD

Dihydrogen jelly is super cheap and you can buy it from station terminals and even pilots. So just go buy all the jelly you can and break it down. Much faster.

Buying and refining jelly to get di-hydrogen is indeed much better. Usually as soon as I sell my first interceptor I almost completely stop mining anything and just buy everything. XD

I've noticed when applying no man's sky on Xbox series s when you first get into the game and look around everything is so buttery smooth and looks so good then after about 10 15 minutes of play the framerate crashes and I have to shut down the app and reopen it in order smooth performance again. I'm wondering if there's a memory leak.. I just started playing this game and absolutely love it!. I seriously hope this gets fixed cuz I'm really sensitive to inconsistent frame rates. This happens on quality mode and performance mode. I don't have a good PC but I do have a steam deck might have to look up some videos to see how good no man's Sky runs on the steam deck.. Just a warning. If you at all get 5 stars against Sents and go into space. You CAN NOT LAND your fighter at all period. unless you destroy The heavy carrier. discovered that the hard way.

Had something weird happen last night. I had three stars in Planet. Jumped in my ship to run away, it immediately jumped to 5 and a Sentinal Freight warped into the atmosphere and stared shooting me. I ran some more and was able to land though. Looks like they still have some bugs there.

You have to do it at the start in Custom Game mode. It really only turns off the starter system stuff. It still annoys you with all the other quest prompts. Basically skips you to the Anomally.

i made over a billion units, a billion nanites, and a billion quicksilver in about 9 seconds by using "wemod" and turning on "infinite credits, nanites, and quicksilver" then turning it off.. turning it on will give you 999,999,999 of each then when you turn it off the amount stays at 999,999,999...

You can also just use creative mode that way you won't have to worry about collecting recourses either if you just want to mess around, explore and build stuff. Works for console players as well.
