Everything sounds awesome. I love those tech sounds! 😍

More of that please!? Always those similar boom bap, hip-hop and trap oriented videos start to get boring and monotonous… It's nice to see someone is exploring other great genres!

Good stuff, it's great to see other kinds of music being done on the MPC. You are the one who pushed me over the edge about getting one earlier this year :D

Hell yeah this is what I'm talking about! I love seeing people do not-boombap, and I'm a big minimal fan 🎶

I love boom bap, but the MPC is capable of a wide variety of genres!

Just got mine and this is indeed a great device. I directly added a Launchcontrol XL to make performing easier with faders and rotaries, that is the finishing touch which makes this device really an awesome piece of gear

Wooow!!! You play that MPC like a BOSS bro! EXCELLENT stuff, awesome ! I Love it!!!

I really like the Akai MPC from what I see, and really enjoy your video and audio quality here on KZbin, but what I actually keep coming back for is the insane skills from your hands on the pads.

Loving these how to build mpc one tracks videos Gabe. I had a korg electribe that got stolen in probably 2000 and now in 2023 i finally got an MPC ONE (gold) at a pawn shop brand new in the box for about $475 and the more I dig in the more it shows me that it can do ANYTHING and more
@remyvegamedia Жыл бұрын
Yooooo honestly these videos have been great for me. I'm primarily a synth/keys player and make beats from that angle. "Sampling" for me is usually just for percussion and atmospheric stuff. I play all my synth/piano/rhodes parts. These synth and electronic sounds are actually what I use to make my stuff and the MPC One is seeming to be the best option for my away from home composition device.

Been following your content for awhile. Coming from watching others like Bo and Red Means Recording I really think you are making great content for the music production community. Glad to see younger people still stoked about electronic music and can’t wait to see what more you bring to the table to teach more people the skills you’ve learned. Just thought I’d throw some positive vibes your way.

Gabe , so if i saw it right you put the mother ducker on the kick and the MD output on anything else ? Im still pretty much a beginner so maybe im asking the obvious here
@synthsforbreakfast Жыл бұрын
Cool! But isn’t it more efficient to route all the elements that require ducking to a sub mix track and use just one Mother Ducker? I see you use lots of plugins. Have you experienced any CPU/RAM issues?

Got the mpc1....thinking about the circuit tracks...and then adding 1010s lemondrop and microfreak to midi channel 1 & 2....that should work WELL for techno me thinks.

Hi Gabe, Very informative, good to see other styles on the MPC, quick question, what percentage swing have you applied and also is that applied globally or just to drum track?? Many thanks

Nice tracks! How are you using the MC-101 now that you seem to have made the MPC One your primary music making device? I'm looking for something bedside table-portable to go along with my MPC One for those shorter sessions when I'm too lazy to step into the studio where my MPC is, and I'm still eyeing the MC-101 for that use case. 😊

Hi Gabe really. Minimal Techno out of Australia? That's where I'm from! Which artists are you talking about?
@GabeMillerMusic2 жыл бұрын
I've listened to a lot of stuff from the label Hungry Koala. I'm not sure if all the artists on it are Australian, but Mark Dekoda, Droplex, Rob Lewis, and Gabe Agullo are some that stuck out for me

Great vid! You mentioned that you used Maschine kits. Are they available for the MPC in the store or NI website?
@GabeMillerMusic2 жыл бұрын
They're not natively available for the MPC, I had to convert them to the MPC format using the software Kit Maker.

Hm... this is some house stuff, EDM, whatever but minimal techno? No. Think it's the same problem as when everyone is calling electronic music electro, absolutely not knowing what the genre electro originally was and still is...

That first one needs to be expanded into an actual song. With a clavinet part and a diva wailing. I'd buy that on vinyl, seriously.
