Making mistakes on the bandsaw mill

I'm attempting to make 2"x2"s on my HM130MAX. I think I made more mistakes than anything else.

Unless you enjoy pushing your mill up hill I would suggest leveling end to end . When you make a cut the mill rolls back might be detrimental to your well being . Try milling two logs of similar size and shape on one measure as you did on this video on the next make a cut only on butt end rotate 180 degrees and repeat rotate 90 degrees make the cut and then cut final side . Mill each log using same dimensions and see what the results are . Worst case you only lose one log Try putting PVC over log stops .Thanks for the video I really enjoyed it

I have the HM130MAX also and I am still learning with 14 hrs on my mill. Plan on building a saw mill shed...❤

I haven't checked my hours but probably 10+ hours on mine. I hope your having fun with yours like I am with mine. This frustrating day was abnormal for me but figured I'd show my mistakes in the hopes that others can get a good chuckle and maybe learn from my mistakes. Your log stops are backwards, angle should be going down towards center of track so log won’t want to climb up on it,

The tree was trying to get away but you cut all its limbs off so it couldn’t run.

I think your guides are loose, seen a lot of blade waver in one of those first cuts, also push your guides in as close as you can to your cant. keep at it there's a lot to learn and good luck, thx for the vid, I've done the same mistakes, lol
