Wow, i shouldn't be surprised at there being a machine for this. It's Japan, after all. Super interesting!

Is your impeller metal? My uncle's broke on his National SDMA18N as it was polypropylene. I wonder if the Tiger's center shaft is the same diameter as the National/Panasonic.

so the ratio of water/rice is 2c/5c? isnt it too little water?
@RHSVanguard20103 жыл бұрын
We had to add additional water while pounding. Otherwise it wasn't going to come together.

I use the Zojirushi and I had to get a converter/transformer for it. Also, mine stopped pounding so you definitely have to make sure the blade is all the way in. Never take the lid off - I had a Chernobyl situation.

Good to know the Zojirushi is similar 😅 the lid def comes in handy, but I think they generally pound without a lid on, and once the rice catches the blades, it usually sticks. Can't imagine the mess though otherwise!

Is it okay to use jasmine rice to make the rice cake? :o
@AdventuresofCarlienne3 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, unfortunately you can't use Jasmine rice as it would be sticky and starchy enough to make mochi. It won't give you the right texture.
