Donnie, sometimes I feel like my work isn't good enough... but the Marine in me will not let me give up. I KNOW my day will come and I will blow everyone away.

Thanks Donnie. Very inspiring. At my age I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm good once as I ever was. I'm turning the page at soon to be 70 years old. No longer able to install doors as I have for the last 20 years, I'm returning to woodworking. Mostly much smaller and lighter. Need to develop a supplemental income and keep active. Thank you for your encouragement and all the time it takes to produce these videos. I understand more than most that the video doesn't just jump from your camera to KZbin. I film for my wife for her baking site. It takes a lot of time. Never comes off with one take.

Thank you for the kind words brother, it means the world to me! Woodworking is definitely a labor of love for me, some days love, some days labor, lol 😂 and you’re so right, making videos is extremely difficult. I want to make more videos but it’s a difficult balance between my woodworking projects, family, and the videos but I’ll figure out sooner or later. 👍👍

I love the smell of fresh cut wood but would have never thought about using that as a marketing tool. It seems logical now but would have never crossed my mind if it wasn't for this video. Thats awesome man, thank you!

Thanks man! It really works too… it sets the mood sort of speak. Think about it… if it were Christmas time and you went tree shopping, the smells really set it off. I’m glad you like it brother! Thanks for watching.

Awesome Donny.. Beautiful family.. I have been binge watching your videos tonight. Enjoyed the walk down memory lane.. We have all drug our nuckles at some point. This Covid crap destroyed my business. Thank God I paid it off the month it started.. Waiting until November to see if I want to make the big financial move to start something else.. I have always enjoyed creating.. Welding was what I chose, and limited room to add woodworking, but, always wanted to marry the two. I spent the last year deciding what I want to build first when I get into the new shop. New Tables (Metal and Wood). Looking at it from the mindset of a woodworker,, Ïf I could just weld". There are so many tools I want to make, because, I know I can do them better. So, I build this minimalistic jig, because, it is going to keep me moving forward, but, the one I really want to build is already picked out. Dust Collection is going to start on a Mobile cart (BTW.. Those Magnet Dust Collection devices just got added to my list).. Going to build a mold out of silicone and pour a bunch of them for myself. Then, next a downdraft table for sanding/routing, etc, while I build some cool sanding/polishing tool stations, build some really nice Wood working vices for my tables, etc.. One step at a time. It will come. Figure I need 7-12 months to get things set up, and, I am going to build all of my own furniture to outfit my place to practice up the integration.. All going on youtube.. And, if someone wants a piece worse than I do after I build it, well, second one goes faster anyway.. Right?? :) Smart Furniture and building the house to allow me to do something I have dreamed about for 20 years.. Finally, I'll build a place of my own. But, for now, I'll live in the warehouse, walk out the back door and be in my shop, which is what I have wanted to do for a very long time now.. Can't market to the masses and middle class any more.. They are all hurting!! And, that is what My Business was based on. In the Recreation Industry (White Water Rafting).. The Middle Class was 70% of my business, and the rest of it was Church Groups, Scouts, etc.. I have not had a Church or Scout group since 2020, but, I did take one reservation the other day, so, maybe people are getting past the "Stay Inside" and Shut Up.. But, Another Election coming, so, I think 2 Interest Rate Drops, and, no telling how many Pandemic threats until they find one that works again.. I didn't fall for the last one. Still have not worn a mask where I was not personally requested to wear one, and generally, that was my signal it was time to go elsewhere.. Everyone got sick but me, and I took care of them while they were sick as dogs.. No one wanted to take what I was telling them to take.. But, my Girlfriend was sick, bad,, for 2 weeks, and I was staying up all night, like tonight and last night, and after 5 days of little to no sleep, it finally got me.. OH WELL... I took my Ivermectin, 5000IU of Vitamin C, Zinc, Selinium and went back to bed for 4 hours and woke up ready to go again.. That is when everyone finally woke up and said,, what was that stuff you took? No body has been sick more than a day since.. Ha..Ha.>Ha.. At least one thing worked out for the good.. I told them.. See, for 2 years you suffered, instead of listening to me, and I had to take care of you.. Don't ever tell me I am not a Patient Man.. We all have hidden qualities.. Hang in there.. It should get better about May/June 2025..

Thanks for this video. I'm in a similar situation, starting my woodworking business with a clear idea of what's I want to offer. I'm learning woodworking as I go, this has made me take longer than I wanted, because as many projects are my first times doing x or y I doubt a lot, procrastinate or my anxiousness kicks me. Thanks for your videos and your story, it helps me.

Donnie…I’m loving your story! You’re a huge inspiration as I seek to grow. Thought/question: you have some very advanced tools, but I’m wondering, what tools you were using when you invited the designer in to your shop? I’d love to hear how you were able to get your tools to where they are now. Keep up the awesome work!
