just an fyi Kage regarding where to store logs in the storage building. when standing in front of the chest, behind you is a built in Log Rack where you can put stacks of logs into instead of in the chest. that Rack will hold more than many think. also, Stones can be dumped into any chest you place down to stockpile it outside your storage limit. unless it's been changed, several Storage buildings of the same type stack for capacity limits and can be accessed from any of your locations. a storage warehouse and food storage building by the mine isn't a bad idea.

if you want to improve the mood of your villagers via building you have to build better houses for them (stone walls and plank roofs), insulate the houses using the Handyman skill in the Production tech tree and then decorating the house by choosing your hammer, then looking at the walls/floors/attics and press E to decorate the chosen part of the house.

I can agree with that, i did that for my village and mood is between 46 and 54% depending if they are doing what they like not what you want them to do

If I'm remembering correctly, I believe there's max 10 items (like shelves, rugs, hanging decorations etc) that can affect their mood. I forget how high it goes to. And after that it depends on them developing their skills as they work (and being in a job they like), and also them being married and having kids affects their happiness. 🙂👍🏻

@@mrsulkowski I believe that the NPCs don't realy like or hate jobs, that is the game's way to justify the mood bonus per skill level the worker receives when employed. For example: if a newcomer has 1 in farming and 3 in production they'll always say that they hate farming and love creating things with their hands.

Hi Kage, couple things about the game to help out. Making money can be done with multiple items. As you build up resources you will need to get rid of some so things like Simple Bags are made from 1 leather and sell well enough. When you drop 100+ of them on the market you get good coin. Same thing with flour, sometimes found but buy it and wheat and make flour then make flat bread. The flat bread, too when sold in bulk, makes you good coin. It won't be long before you have a ton of coin. Also, the townsfolk happiness will increase with better homes (ie: stone house that are insulated) as well as decorations. I also noticed that the game added the ability to upgrade the beds and firepit in the houses (have your hammer out and press and hold E). The townsfolk happiness also increases as their skill does in the field of work. Cheers.

I upgraded my villager’s houses to stone and insulated them with limestone. This gave each about +40% happiness to around 44-46% total. It’s a bit of a grind, since I helped mine the limestone from stone nodes. Slow process. Putting 2 villagers on stone/limestone would help.

There are a couple crafting recipes that require tin ingots. The saddle I believe is one, and maybe one of the backpacks? There may also be a decoration or two that use tin. But as far as smithing goes, you're right in that the main use for tin is to make bronze.

I think potage is a good seller. Especially with the free horse meat you got! I seem to remember you were “the potage king” when the game came out at first!

You need 3 points into barter to be able to buy the ingredients and craft at a profit. Because you buy 30% cheaper and sell for 30% more.

On the road east of Piastovia, I found a special villager where the road meets the wide part of the river in the south. He's an ex-bandit with 6 in excavation.

Heya Kage, there is a guide on the steam discussions that has a map of all possible spots for each of the super villager.. has helped me get 2 of them (1 with 5 extraction and the other was the hunter with 5 skill)... only thing is its low chance and happens with season changes. Good luck

Invest in an iron crossbow and iron bolts, its an amazing weapon to hunt and kill bandits with.

Good area ro build for me is along the river slightly northeast of Piastovia. Flat land between the cave and river for homes and buildings and fields on the slope.

So I don't know about this map, but on the base map, wanderers (recruitable NPCs) rotate between villages very season, so you should have new ones every 3 days. Also, manure converts to fertilizer cheaper. I think rot is 10 to 1, but manure is 1 to 1, I THINK. At least it was before update. And yes, Potage is more filling then meat or cabbage alone. You do need to craft from meat and cabbage in a kitchen, but have both high $ and nutritional value

I ddid say that you can make profit from maces even if you buy all materials from trader becose raw materials - 2 coper ore 2 tin ore 1 log and 1 lether costs around 50 gold (EDIT 12.12.2024 -its actualy 70) - you need to make bronze bar yourself Another info that you may be interested - you dont need to trow food items on the ground if you want to get rot next season, in one herold quest you may be asked to build some stuf to reduce stench of people, one of it is compost bin (for quest you need to build 3 - allready build dont count for quest) - it changes any food item in rot in one season

to clarify my comment from last video: When you are encumbered, while you are pressing the W key, press the Up Arrow key and it will essentially negate your encumbrance. This is much more noticeable when you are higher encumbrance.

You can edit the walls and roofs of the houses but you can’t upgrade them to a bigger house. All the other buildings if there is an upgraded version you can place it over the top of the original building if you want to. If you make changes to a building like a house with people living in it they will get upset and changes to a building with people working there will stop the work until you are done.
