hey dude just so you know you could easily double or triple your income by taking the time to disassemble the units and separating the copper and aluminum before the taking them to the scrape yard, then when you have a truck load of the copper and aluminum you make bank. happy scraping dude been doing it for 20 years and loving it.

Friend of mine works for a scrapyard and was telling me that people take those sealed motors of the refrigerators and they get approximately $6.00 each one for them... I saw that you had the copper wires in the back of the 1st load... Check into it around where you live... Sealed motors! 6x6 $36 loss... Well after weight about $30 loss... Get all you can get... A friend & I were laid off and went out during bulk pick-up. In 1 week we each made $350 after fuel cost.. We actually had fun...

I have sure sold my share of junk metal before.But back when i was selling junk appliances they were going for 50 cents a 100 LBS thats nothing compared to what they are now...
@xhenchmanx13 жыл бұрын
@secularheathen, I was thinking the same thing... copper here is worth nearly 300 times what steel is.. and those sealed compressor units too... they bring double what steel does, almost like electric motor.

@marcelsjean The seller is responsible because i have a very successful Recycling company and every time we have refrigerators we have to pay a EPA certified company to remove all the freon . I hope you make enough money to pay EPA fines.($15,000 fine per day) don't believe me check it out at epa.org.
