Making Monofilament and Glass Bead Eyes for Fly Tying

Learn how to make monofilament eyes for small flies, all the way up to large compound glass eyes for BIG nymphs like Dragonflies and Stoneflies. This technique uses melting monofilament and glass beads. It should only be done in well ventilated areas and not attempted while intoxicated or otherwise inhibited. Great method. Stores have beads designated 6/0, 9/0, etc. How do these relate to beads per inch? thanks

They are the same sizes I am using in the video. Really big beads have a straight size 6 or so designation. When it has an /0 behind the number, that means beads per inch. So your 6/0 will have 6 beads per inch.
