I enjoyed this documentary. This movie dismantles the tragedy narrative.

Those snippets of Monty Clift were awesome and invaluable. He was such a fantastic looker! His role in 'A Place in the sun' is a quintessential performance from him: quiet, sensitive and exquisitely fine-tuned. He was unique in the fact that he seemed to be one of the few actors of his era who really trusted in the understated choice, and he was bold enough to stick to that instinct - to state more moderately than truth would allow. He was magnificent also in 'I confess' and 'From here to eternity'.

I am so sad, I can't find a biography of Monty in German. He must have been a wonderful person and he was a fantastic actor. It's terrible that he was called an unhappy person. Only Monty alone knows what he himself really felt. He must not be forgotten, as an exception talent!

How come nobody interviewed James B. his publicist who is still alive in San Diego!

Finally! I felt this wasn't ever going to be released since it's preview only in selected theaters. Looking forward to watching this. Big Monty Clift fan :)

If there is ever a Montgomery Clift biopic made, they really should hire Matt Bomer

There was official news that HBO would be making the Montgomery Clift biopic with Matt Bomer but that was the only time news of any official capacity ever came out
@lorencappelson64752 жыл бұрын
They were going to!! Or still are??? Im so confused about this bc I cant find any news one way or the other, and it devastates me to think about bc I DESPERATELY NEED IT TO HAPPEN. There is no more perfect casting, not just looks-wise but bc of the job I suspect Matt Bomer would do and his expressed love and appreciation for Monty Clift. If anyone knows anything about it...

Matt Bomer is 45 years old now, exactly the age Montgomery Clift was when he died, so I fear it's too late to cast him in a biopic.

It was ok...BUT it didn't really focus on Monty as much, which was disappointing. Also it would have been nice to see more of the archival material or at least included it as bonus material for the DVD.

Jonathan Bailey might be the perfect as Montgomery Clift in a biopic film.. it's just me wanting to be this happen.. and Tom Ford the perfect Director & Producer or Screenplay
