Hi Steve; It was great talking with you that morning. I got some of the same bull Elk that you did. FYI, I never saw any Great Gray owls in the 10 days I was there. Went to Yellowstone and didn't see any wolfs either in Lamar Valley. I was 0 for 3 in the owl, wolf and Griz sweepstakes. I had a great time photographing scenics, fox, moose, elk and just being in the wilderness. Oh yeah... That offer I made for your lens still stands, LOL

Was this around the 10th 11th time frame. I was out at Pilgram creek with my family and may have talekd to you a few time as we were both trying to find the Gray Owl that had been seen up, I remember you saying you had seen Steve a few times. I was there when some had seen a Grix=zley (maybe bruno ) out at two oceans, but no luck for me seeing any grizzlies while at GT, missed 399 and her cubs tow dayn in road by about 10 min. Me and the family were lucky though and see a nice pack of wolves up in YS which I loved and though the pics do not come up great was till very happy.

Never got to see the owl, but since being back at Vandenberg Space Force Base, did get a nice shot of a great Horn Owl and some California Condors over at Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Trying to get out of my RV here this morning and drive up the Pacific Coast Highway towards Big Sur and see if I can spots some Zebras at San Simeon and maybe some more condors at Big Sur. What is being obscured during the intro and at 14:20 and why? Or was it a rain spot and it moved because you stabilized the footage in post? P.S. when did your switch to Sony? Are you 100% all in gear-wise? (Disclosure: I shoot Canon)

@@JohnDrummondPhoto He has a video about it a few back on his channel if you go look. "Chaos in my camera bag". According to that, he has Sony, Nikon, and some Fuji and is awaiting the Z9 to decide whether to switch fully to Sony or stick with Nikon, based on AF performance/etc. The Landscapes in this video, for example, were shot with Nikon while the elk shots/vid was with the Sony.
