I Like your opening statement and greetings hello from Pineta Florida. Not everyone can afford expensive tools. Reusing and using something you already have in a new way is my goal. Blessings to all.

I was already making the stove, but now I'm going to have to make that heatsink grill, too! Nice idea, sir. And thank you for the work you've done

Well I like the helloes Edit: on Ryobi tools. The right tool is the one that works for you. I had a Ryobi chainsaw for a few years for occasional use and it was fine. Then I bought a tumbledown cottage in 1/2 acre of severely overgrown garden and it soon crapped out and I had to spend a lot of money replacing it with higher-end tools. The point being, it would have been silly to spend that sort of money buying fancy gear for occasional use. In fact my rule of thumb is to buy fairly cheap (not bargain basement) first time buying any sort of tool. You might find you hardly use it, you might find you have the wrong spec and need something bigger/smaller, stainless, left-handed or whatever, or you might even get lucky and it lasts forever. If you do need to buy something more expensive later, you'll be in much better shape to know what you really need.

Were you squinting into the camera because of sunlight or smoke from cooking meat? Bifocal safety glasses are wonderful; I purchased clear and tinted sets from Duluth Traders for yard work. You have found a great use for all of your fallen branches. Wishing you and your family a blessed week, gentle weather and restful evenings. Peace Tom.

At the end it was the smoke. :-) my Bifocals are so much easier than the readers, which I keep having to raise up to see distance. Blessings to you and JP. Peace, brother.

People that judge by the tools are not good. Why spend 400$ in high brand tool when you do not need too

I am noting again how we both like to work intuitively and through multiple iterations as you made the grill fit on your grate for the new fire pot. Tool snobbery, meh. If it gets the job done that is the most important thing.

Truth. It is all about the iterations. The Ryobi-hater made me laugh. I wasn't phased. I just like to call out the ones who get snarky every now and then. Of course, he may just have been being funny. Thank you for watching, CI. Stay curious, my friend.
