This is dammed ambitious for a first dio! Well done. A suggestion for the grout between bricks next time, I mix some PVA glue with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and then paint that into the cracks. At this scale, you may find that cheaper and more size appropriate than course sand.

Well I needed a dio this size for the convention 😄 And thank you for that advice. I have to try and remember that for sure.

for a first time and your limited tool options I gotta say you did one hell of a job and should probably consider diving into the hobby👍 I buy toys now just so I can build a diorama aswell as building dioramas to excuse buying more toys😂 win win

Thank you so much! I see so many great diorama builders. There is so much to learn. I will probably be doing a new diorama this summer to bring to this years LegionsCon. Toys and dioramas is a great hobby 😄

Turned out quite nice! Interesting video to watch. :) Looking forward to more of these videos. Watching crafting in various ways is relaxing and inspiring. I'm sure you've heard of Nerdforge. She used the same foam material to create individual bricks for some sort of castle, and to get a good texture to them i believe she put them in a bag together with some gravel and shook them around for a good while. Bit more tedious to put together afterwards though. 😅

Thank you 😃 I hope to make more videos on the future. I actually haven't heard of her but I have to check her out. Thanks.

For a second there, I thought you were going to flip one piece over onto the other and they were going to perfectly match up for shipping. Next time! ;)

I am so intrigued by this! I come from a miniature wargaming background (Sci fi, Historical, Fantasy). Is Legions just custom sculpted models or is there a ruleset using dice, tape measure for movement etc? Your display board looks awesome and is very similar to the tables/board we use in miniature wargaming (must be why YT suggested this video to me!)

Thank you! I come from a miniature wargaming background as well. Currently playing Age of Sigmar. Mythic Legions is not a game at all though. It is a fantasy action figure toyline. You can take apart most of the pieces like arms and legs and put together figures of your own. You can read more about it here www.sourcehorsemen.com But there is a pretty big customizing community with people modifying and repainting figures just for the fun of it. I myself have made some tribute figures where I create Mythic Legions versions of characters from Marvel e.g.
