Thank you Juliana for showing a part of you to the world. Without your songs the world would not be the same.

Having original music hand cut into 7 inch vinyl is a creatives fever dream no matter what level of artistic ascent or plateau!! 🙃👊🏻 SUPER cooooool AF!

I actually just bought a vintage turntable which I literally unboxed before watching this. Needless to say, I bought it. I've been watching/listening for a relatively short while and have a similar appreciation for old things (especially in regards to audio), and like the coziness of it all. So, I'm happy to support. Though, I will say that it was a little pricey, but I know that most records are pressed rather than individually cut like this, so I guess that's to be expected.

@JulianaChahayed3 ай бұрын
Hi!! We made 25 of these and since they were hand cut I don’t think we’re going to do another run of this specific one. However I plan on doing a full EP in November and wanna do a vinyl run for that so I think I will prob be able to order a bigger bulk amount bc I think After Hours Record just got a new machines that speeds up the process! :)

This was interesting and fun. Congratulations on making your first vinyl. I love music messing around with instruments and more It's fun. Years ago I would download music into cd's and showed and helped my friends back then do the same great times. Cool video. ^_^

This seems like such a compact way of cutting records. What a clever setup.

When I was 12 years old, I witnessed something truly amazing. I saw a sasquatch in the deep western Washington forest. It was eating berries, only about 20m away from me, before it noticed me and sprinted off into the thick vegetation faster than any man I've seen.

It was a hippy eating berries that looked like a sasquatch. At least you arent saying it was a female sasquatch that took advantage of you.

This is awesome. I'd be worried about all the talking being microscopically carved into the master record though xd
@JulianaChahayed3 ай бұрын
haha yeah, the one in this video i kept as the prototype (which surprisingly the talking didn’t make it into the cut) and Ben cut the rest on his own time :)

Why do you love old things so much?
@JulianaChahayed3 ай бұрын
I find a lot of older things are better quality, have a way nicer aesthetic and not cheaply made like todays items. I also love learning about things I didn't know existed if I'm at an antique store or thrifting :) Also not a fan of ikea white and gray dull buildings- a lot of things are losing craftsmanship and it's really sad

@@JulianaChahayed While I can't deny that nostalgia is a factor, I also believe that the way we consume and interact with art has lost strength over the years. Like with music you had to physically go to a record store, pick some record based on its cover, look at the booklet, and only then actually listen to it. Even after that, wether you liked it or not, you'd give it a few listens because you already paid for it. Having all the music in the world at my fingertips (plus an algorithm to curate it for me) is great, but the whole process feels more shallow now. Like it's just consooming.
