I love that you are sharing a re-root of a Rainbow High Doll. Just a note. I always put the dolls head inside a plastic bag when I dip in in the water. You won't have to deal with hot Wet hair.

I've broken so many needles trying to make my custom Star Darling. I'm going to try using a heat gun on low setting to make the needle go in more easily.

It also works for a wine cork and put a sewing needle and cut off half the eye(for rerouting)

Could you curl some of the hair in front so that it woud lay in waves (kind of like Bella's)? I like how it looks in the back, but the front and sides are a little scanty (thin). Gteat job, though, I could never do this project, I don't think!

To curl the hair get sponge hair rollers and roll the hair then dip the dolls hair that’s rolled into boiling water a few times and then let dry and boom you will have beautiful curls... just a little tip for you BTW I’m addicted to your craft I think you are amazing! New subscriber here

You can curl with straws, I did it for my sunny Madison's hair in the front and it works well.

I can sew and want to start actually making outfits for my dolls... BUT- I could never match the quality of MGA's clothing so I feel that my doll would look terrible next to the others if I made her an outfit :( I am planning to dye some extra Rainbow High clothes for her though

I found myself dipping the head in hot water every 20 minutes to keep the head soft. In a plastic bag, so not wet. I hate changing needles

I've never tried this but I saw someone put their doll in a plastic bag, and then immersed that bag in the boiling water. It keeps everything dry but still softens up the vinyl

I will tell you that restoredoll.com and thedollplanet on etsy are both FANTASTIC sources for hair with great selections! The hair I used in this video is Nylon
