Crazy process, but it paid off. To my ears amplitude 5 is the best sounding amp sim by far, and I’ve owned most of them. I rarely even open the others these days except for non-guitar instrument enhancement. Much respect and appreciation. Thanks.

The concept of A5 alone, blows my mind. I can't believe the fidelity, and flexibility of this program. They put 3.5 max on sale, mega discounted, and I was all over it.

Something that would be great for version six would be a dedicated mode for using with your own amps. The cabs sound great, as do the effects. X-Gear stuff is on all the time now. 3/4 of the time, I’m using my own amp collection into a load box. It already works quite well, but I’d imagine your team would come up with some very clever ways to enhance an ‘external amp’ option. Also could really use dual stereo outputs to be able to process room and direct differently post-plugin.

Just to show how good it is, both Line 6 and Fractal Audio have now implemented this same method of IR capture into their own flagship modelers (Helix and Axe FX III). Kudos to IK for doing it first and doing it well. The Amplitube suite (now including ToneX) is a top-shelf product and it sounds fantastic.

Amplitube 5 is truly astounding; the sound is so realistic and smooth. Upgraded from Amplitube 4, which was amazing in it's own right. Also using the rack section as a plugin for general mixing (bypassing the amp and cab/room). Incredible bang for the buck!

There's a lot of good models already in amplitube that can get you the "gilmour" sound (start with the HiAmp!!), I always have way too much fun coming up with solutions for missing effects in his chain, we really need a good colorsound style pedal though, and I do agree a Rams Head would really be nice... hell they could make an ultimate fuzz pack and I'd die!

As one of the leading developers in IR it would be cool if you gave your input into what amps\cabs are best to reproduce those sounds. You aint for example going to use a Vintage30 IR when your playback speaker is also a Vintage 30 no point and u ain't gonna get a G12T to sound like a Vintage 30 either u cant get a chinese Vintage 30 to sound like an original Uk version. I have done my own experiment using power amps (crown QSC Crest all top pro quality) and various pro full range PA cabs played next to the original Cabs/speakers to see how close they are in reality. I have to say it is not east to get the tone close, even if you use quality studio monitors direct from the computer. But you can get sound really nice tones from IR but then so does an original G12T Vintage 30 G12H etc Does IR replace all those cabs/speaker combinations? Maybe, but its not just as simple and playing the plug in, you still need the right gear to reproduce those specific tones you have captured with any accuracy. Even with top power amps, I have to say I have struggled its no where near exact, its close, and maybe for some close enough, but those amps and cabs I have used cost more than the originals !!!

Just bought Amplitube Max. Is there way to "lock" an amp in place ( like Tonex) while going through presets? I use this all the time in Kemper's Rig Manager. Can you please make save the last folder used each time, so when I am downloading lots of User presets, and don't want to have to navigate back to the same folder each time. Also does anyone have issues entering text in the fields sometimes? I'm on a new Mac Studio. In Tonex & Amp5. Thanks!

IK Multimedia might want to keep in mind how too many options can be paralyzing. It’s fantastic that the selection is so vast but possibly organizing it into more digestible categories would help. Even the IRs . Possibly presets divided into different frequency ranges.
