I came to this video curious to see what was involved in making a unique custom pair of jeans with the exact features I'm looking for. Now my expectations are set. This obviously takes a LOT of work and skill. But I think you've shown that the skills are totally worth spending months perfecting if I can always make and wear my own custom jeans for life. This video was HUGELY inspiring. Thank you!!!

@@denimchirurgie What sewing denim jeans, How much fabric would you say in metres length it takes to makes 1 pair of jeans (Waist 42" INSEAM 36") with a width of 150 cm? Your best caluclated guess would be okay.
@denimchirurgie3 жыл бұрын
@@IEXECUTIVE Hello, you need your side length plus approx. 50 cm. I myself have 42 Inc. And for me, a maximum of 2 meters with a width of 150 cm is enough. Regards Roman
@IEXECUTIVE3 жыл бұрын
@@denimchirurgie thank you. Given some calculations and the fact I'm doing a big tall line on straight grain, I'm going to need 2.5 metres. You were very helpful. I have another question, how many pairs of each size should I make when starting a big and tall clothing line I. E. How many pairs should I make for each size 36x34, 36x36, 36x38, 38x34, 38x36, 38x38..... 48x34 etc?
@denimchirurgie3 жыл бұрын
@@IEXECUTIVE Sorry, you can only calculate that exactly on the computer in a layer picture. It also depends on how long a situation is. As a rule, small sizes are put together with large sizes and small parts such as pockets, waistband, underlay, etc. are placed in between.

I am working to make my own jeans and learning from your techniques. The part of video I am focusing on is the fly insertions and how you do it, mine never comes out that terrific. And as well how you sew that keyhole buttonhole with only a zigzag stitch (no buttonholer) Was reading below, I know you are using an industrial sewing machine, is it a PFAFF and if so, what model? I think i need to watch your pattern drafting video as well since I want to learn how to make selfedge jeans.

Hallo Roman Ich habe mir alle deine Videos angeschaut.

@wilsjane5 жыл бұрын
I cannot be specific about the make and model, but these industrial machines are intended to run continuously and cost thousands of pounds. For the smooth high torque operation using heavy threads, the machines mostly require a 3 phase electricity supply that is not available on domestic supply. To make matters even worse. commercial manufacturers have several machines, each one set up to sew through a different number of layers. A full production setup would cost about £15,000.
