I want the series to be successful, but I was disheartened by the changes in the demo. Sidelining the mythology and the memorable dream sequence from the original in favor of a slapstick chase sequence feels greatly disappointing and shallows the significance of Twinsen's imprisonment. The original was goofy at times, sure, but it knew when to take itself seriously and it treated the Funfrock regime as a genuine threat. The clones struggling to catch Luna and her treating everything like a joke takes away from the gravitas that the oppressive setting had in the original. As for Luna herself, it's painful to see Zoe replaced by a different character for no good reason. If you felt like Zoe in the original had too little to do, you could still expand her role without changing the core of the story so drastically. Zoe is even replaced on the artbook, which is a really odd choice. If the remake will be more interested in propping up a new character instead of expanding on what was already there, I don't see myself enjoying it very much. LBA was the first game I ever played as a kid. It has been with me for my whole life and for decades I've been hoping for its return. It pains me that a potential third instalment will be a continuation of this, which might be a good game but no longer carries the soul of the original.

@@SePronunciaDanimeitor That's a lousy excuse, they can keep consistency while staying true to the story, they just need to give her more scenes and tweak dialogue accordingly. Instead, all those scenes that could be added for Zoe and Twinsen will be at best shared with Luna, how is that making Zoe's role bigger? And giving her barely a second of screentime in the trailer also doesn't send a convincing message.

So cool, I played the game and liked it a lot, regarding the removal of the comportament system, I agree, while it is interesting it is somewhat clunky and could be replaced with a more contextual system. Looking forward the main game.

L'esthétique du remake n'est pas trop ce que j'aime, je trouve que visuellement c'est très "bazar" et j'ai du mal à repérer les divers éléments, mais ça ne m'empêchera pas d'y jouer. J'ai malgré tout très très hâte de voir ce que vous allez proposer dans cette version et ce qu'elle change par rapport à l'original. On vous souhaite grandement de réussir ! Très grand fan de Little Big Adventure 1 et 2, mon premier jeu sur PC, j'ai fait et refait les deux jeux au moins une trentaine de fois. J'espère vraiment que vous allez pouvoir concrétiser un remake du deuxième pour enfin réaliser Little Big Adventure 3 que nous attendons tous depuis si longtemps ! Edit : Après avoir joué à la démo je me suis rendu compte que finalement l'esthétique ne me gêne pas tant que ça. Je m'y suis vite habitué et... j'aime beaucoup en fin de compte ! Très plaisant à jouer.

I still don't understand why Twinsen's sister exists. It's not at all clear who the clones are and why they're there. Only that Twinsen defended a messy sister and was arrested for it. In the demo we already have a very different idea from the original game, everything much more childish and shallow.

Well I was disappointed that the demo did not have Zoé. And I don't know that little sister and do not (yet) care about her. But the in the original game, Twinsen was arrested because of his dreams, not his sister.

@@Yogarpg a remake changes things of the original and you just said the original is perfect, a remake is not the same as a remaster. The idea at first was remastering LBA 1 and 2 and then they changed it to a remake, play the demo, they ruined the game, the story, the lore, everything.

Bonjour. Voila pour avoir connu le jeu et l'avoir fini plusieurs fois petit. J'avoue que dès que j'ai vu au début la petite fille ben j'ai pas bien compris...???? Ensuite on se retrouve a la prison et hop le premier gardien arrive avec une plateforme qui lévite comme a l'époque sauf qu'a l'époque on se demandait comment cette plateforme pouvait léviter avec des câbles invisibles ? il y avait un treuil au dessus ici c'est plus le cas c'est juste un plafeForme a la Mario qui lévite point barre On perd toute l'utilité et la logique de l'architecture des poutres en métal au dessus dommage :( et je me souviens de ce premier dialogue avec le gars qui parlait du nez comme dans les dessins animé là ce n'est pas le cas il y a pas de personnalité dans première phrase du jeu dommage :( J'aurai aimé entendre que ce Remake est fait avec l'aide ou l'esprit de Frederic Raynal ou comme a l'époque de la dev peut être en C ou C++ pur ou du monogame ou du Raylib et non un portage d'un jeu mobile sous Unity dommage :(

It breaks my heart, it's so offbeat and not in the same spirit, too much casualization and simple childish lowpoly... Twinsen looks more like a generic cartoon hero than an anti-hero, as Didier Chanfray said, Twinsen is a hero in spite of himself, and right from the start all that is thrown out the window, replaced by another little girl (Zoé not kidnapped BUT arrested by a dictatorial police force, by arbitrariness, so it's not just simple "Mario rescue triangle love") and, as you can guess, a the little girl is a hotheaded child, a trope seen and re-seen as much as the damsel in distress, that is removed for no doubt “political and societal” reasons, as if this were a disgrace and the team were sexist, which I doubt very much, it's a bit of a betrayal of the game, and I already think that in the end this Luna is going to pull out a banal heroic act (if she die this is crazy), it's not so much that there's a new character but the writing and the atmosphere, I remember Funfrock who used to be a figure who scared me but with a silly air, now he looks like a banal cartoon villain with a pirate look. ... Having a sister also requires a bit more in-depth lore, in my humble opinion on the family, you can't put a little girl who wasn't there before into a couple's lives that will require a lot of attention in the series, especially if there's a remake of two. seriously it's sad for me, I hope it will appeal to as many people as possible, but I'll cherish Raynal's early games, but it's not LBA for me, I see it as a fan game from 2.21, despite the guaranteed token that is Didier Chanfray on the team. I doubt he'll have the success to make the 3 in an ambitious way, it's a pipe dream like many old games that have come back to disappoint. It's a pity that Fred is less motivated; it would be too easy for him to take the game engine architecture book and work on a sequel to the game, because I know he likes to control his tools to do the best he can with what his team needs. But they're not young anymore, and seeing that Chanfray is still on the job makes me very happy, at the end, it's just a game with another's vision.

5:00 Il faut une option dans le menu qui permet de switch entre les nouvelles musiques et les anciennes pendant le jeu je pense. Y'aura forcément des joueurs qui ne veulent jouer qu'avec les anciennes musiques.
