a lot of modern day people are uncomfortable in corsets because they’re not used to it. when I first started to wear my Boston brace ( a lot like a corset ) I felt like I couldn’t inhale, move, all that. Now I sleep in it like it isn’t there! took me days to not hyperventilate all the time, but I eased into it 😌 so that’s the explanation with example on why modern day actresses can’t function in what used to be common garments.
